I was goin over my Mosin Nagant a bit today and came up with an Idea. How awesome would it be to get 2 Mosin Nagants for each year of WWII? For example WWII started 1939 and Ended 1945. So the example would be to Start with a 2 1939 Nagants one from Ishesvk and one from Tula and go from there. Well for my start I have a 1943 Ishevsk Nagant. So Now I need to find a 1943 Tula. So anyways what do ya all think of this goal. Since nagants are cheap this should be an easy goal yes?

Make that 4 of each....if thats possible....Forgot about New England Westing House.....and Remington? If they were makin them during WWII? Doubtful but in that case Ishevsk and Tula will be the main goal 1 of each for WWII years.

16 years x 4 variations x $100 each = $6400. If you are looking to spend $6400 and have 64 similar rifles, then I think you have a good goal to work toward, especially if some of those are hard to find (there's a challenge there).

Otherwise, I can think of some way different stuff to spend that kinda dough on.

I agree with Grant. If you were disgustingly rich, then maybe. But otherwise, I can think of better things you can spend your money on.

I can see the challenge of it and the goal of finding all of them, but when you reach your goal, then what? You have a butt load of Mosins that are all way too similar............it is in a way like stamp collecting.

But Snake, if Mosins are really your thing, then who are we to tell you what you should do.............

Another idea might be to make a list of the harder to find Mosins and collect those. But $6400 can be spent on other firearms that are either really neat or can be great investments.......and I just don't see much investment value in Mosins.

16 years?

6 years 2 rifles each is the goal. Roughly $1200 bucks. My goal is Tula and Ishevsk from 39-45. New england westing house and remington will be a bonus. Last I heard the remmy will be a tough one to find.

Really they would similar but I dont mind. Its not just the rifles its just I like collecting WWII stuf and a Mosin Nagant Collection from 39-45 would be a nice addition.

Oh just to clear it up I am talkin solely about M91/30's not the carbines. It seems like a good goal.
