OK. I plan on selling a large amount of 30 rnd AR mags. I would like to package them with the 2 or 3 rnd mag holders that make them really a 60 -90 round ass'y. I see disclammers that state "not shipped to CA, NY, etc". I also see ones that just say thet it's the buyer's responsability to acknowledge the laws in his residence.

What is the best approach? I can't handle 20 years (which is life for me) with bubba!

Any help appreciated guys,

Always cover your own butt all the time. I know CA and NY and some of the East coast are not allowed to have 10 plus rounds.

I bought a bunch of High cap mags for my beretta 9mm, AR-15 and AK-47. Its a joke. The laws are so confusing here that even cops can not figure it out. Handguns can not have high cap mags unless the mags were made between certain dates. The rifle mags are different. My 9mm AR takes sten mags- those are 30 rounders made in the 1940's-legal. My ak takes mags 30 round+ made before the 1994 assault weapons bill. So once NY banned hi cap mags dated whenever, gun stores just ordered old high cap mags. It was easy to get pre-ban mags because the rest of the country no longer had a ban. Its fucked up.
In the end, do no business in NY. You might have mags with in the dated criteria but do you want to hire a lawyer at your expense to prove you are not a criminal.
Plus, all the criminals have russian imported automatic AKs with 50 round clips. Its nice- they kill each other very efficiently so Mayor Bloomberg can blame gun stores.
By the way- my wife still does not want to move

Selling your mags...

...Know which states they can NOT be legally sold in and state that in your "auction". Offer the mag holders separate from the magazine offer, if necesary. A quick Google search should provide you all the information you need. Try the NRA-ILA website, as well.

This is really a simple sell and you should not have any problems.

If you scan through the Gunbroker website, you should be able to get a very good idea on how best to legally sell what you have.

What the hell?

I posted a comment here and now it's gone. So I'll try again. I had 46 colt factory new 30 rounders to sell, so I took them to a gun store and put them on consignment. The store gets 20 percent, but I don't have to fuss with shipping or dealing with money through the mail. Mine were free anyway, so it's all profit for me.

hey, didn't you have a bunch or AR mags that you got for free? If I remember right, you sold the clot mags on consignment at a local shop. I think they kept 20%.

Thanks for the replies guys. The mag quantity is in 4 figures. I don't expect to make much on the mags (U.S. gov contract w/ no tilt & green followers) but the 2-3 round mag holders which I have CNC machined & are beauties. I just am too old to go the jail!
