Hi-Point

Held my first Hi-Point yesterday. Now I know what you guys are talking about. The 45 was $160 and felt like I was holding a brick. The price can certainly make it appealing though. How can they make it in Ohio for that cost?

High Points Low Points

Just wanted to chim in on this one a bit. I have owned 4 high points. (NOT) bought new just got in trades by the way.
My findings with them is you have a 50/50 chance of them shootinwithout jamming up. Out of the 4 i had 2 acyually shot without jamming.
In their defence, if the thing will shoot it seems to shoot well. By the way all mine were 9mm. All are gone now. Also there is no way i would recomend depending on one for personal defense unless my other choice was a stick.

and I carry them everyday for defense..I have even had to use them in afew situations at my tattoo shop...which I am still here so I guess they did ok. Of coarse I would really rather have something else, a glock or a 1911..but they are fine for now.

But speaking of shitty hi-points.. my buddy bought a 9mm carbine...its so damn funny looking, and he cant his a damn barn with it.

Hi Points are good guns. Yes they are cheap. I have four of them. I would bet my life on anyone of them. It is just like anything you buy, some are ok and some are ok. How many cars have to go to be fixed after they are bought. Same with guns. God bless you and amy God help us keep our guns

High Point

Where does it say in the manurfacturers manual that a name makes the price of a gun cheap. If the Gun performs as well as you want it too, just like if you buy an electric car over an e6 mercedes, and the e6 runs out of gas and you pass it a day later in your Honda electric with a 100,00.00 dollars difference and still who is walking ? When you are attacked and shoot an intruder and kill him with your 200.00 dollar high point. Isn't he just as dead when you shoot with your Glock and it kicks and misses and jams and they find you dead. Does it matter if you had a glock or a high point revolver or semi-auto. I know thousands of everyday FbI and SWat and Cops who upgrade their city or state or country provided weapons for kimbers, because they deal with it on a daily basis, or more that once a day, and a awful lot like Ruger too. Yea Sig is there too. But the average guy or woman at home with this economy, what works, go with it. I have a beautiful Jennings nine and a little polishing and no misfires, hangups, misfeeds, extra cartridiges, and same for High points two as a matter of fact, and all three are home defence guns hidden around like Isd. I and wife can count on for sure.

Nice to meet you, You see above my ealier post on Hi-points. But for instance last week I met a new neighbor, military man and mixed up with Bosnia, and actually broght home a russian AK_47, but anyway was showing him some ranges in the area and places to shoot. One place an ACE AUTO sells guns too and was originally a gun dealer with a range outback. But he still stocks High points. the new neighbor Mattsays they are not too good though right, not reliable etc. So the owner of the place still has the sign that says if it shoots right and try it here or money back for a year, little slogan he thought of poet he is not. So he had a hi-point 9mm semi-auto w/2mags & free cleaning kit for 189.99 each, or a 8 round 6" barrell wyatt earp double action revolver with holster & free cleaning kit, same price as other. six left on each. We went outback and tried them both. Not a hitch out of either, and cool as hell to shoot the long barrell pistol in 22 magnum or lr 2 rollers. But that changed his mind real quick. I am not saying they are better than any of the sigs or rugers or whatever, kimbers, It is doing what you want it to do that is all. Right, we are all not swat, or FBI or in AFghanistan, if we were we would have the best and if we could afford it we would then too, if that is your cup of tea in perspective. JC A long way of saying I am with you

I like most guns, and Hi Points are no exception. I have never fired a Hi Point pistol, so I can't say any thing about them. But, I have put many rounds down rand with my 9MM carbine.
That is one sweet shooting piece. I have it zeroed at 68 feet. That is the distance from my recliner to the front to the front door, and I can knock the balls off of a gnat from that distance.
Since there is no recoil, I am ready for a second shot on the next person thru the door, cause the
first guy will be laying on the floor with a 9mm hollow point hole in his head with his brains
a liquid coming out of his ears..

If a man can make you mad just by talking, then he is far brighter than you.
