LLE
with the words,"history repeats itself"? Could you please enlighten us? Close resemblance to what?
FreedomMilitaria
it is easy to see the resemblance of our issues now as stated by Obama, and his speeches closely resemble that of Hitler's. pure masked Socialism. it of course is plain to see, and true, it is just my opinion
LLE
you know very little about the state of affairs in Germany, at the time Hitler became chancellor.
Reaper308
thats all you got?

hell,i was chastised for less.i didnt even try to compare the messiah to the fuhrer and yet a member basically has me burning crosses in peoples yards!bullshit i say!
FreedomMilitaria
this has nothing to do with burning crosses or hating on anyone. as to the state of affairs in Germany, Hitler was promising he was going to make a better society with socialism. just what Obama is doing.
did you not see the reference to the economy, joblessness?
Sorry LLE, we can't all be at the top of the intellectual food chain with you.
You can start the lectures now.
LLE
it may tend to incriminate me. However, that being said, IMO, my previous observation of your posting still stands. I did not vote for Obama, but the equation of his political motivation with that of Hitler's is at best naive and odious.
FreedomMilitaria
come on... i'm naive? how about the millions of first time voters this year? i don't believe all the garbage that Obama spews.
where's the LLE that we all know?

Let's hear what the state of affairs were in Germany at the time. Deep depression, civil unrest, deep hate of the jews as they were blamed for all of the turmoil because they controlled the majority of the money in the country at the time.

It looks like I might have beat LLE to the first response...
Hitler was a fascist, not a socialist.
Fascism (from Dictionary.com):
A governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.
Socialism (from dictionary.com):
1. a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.
2. procedure or practice in accordance with this theory.
3. (in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles.
There are differences there.
ok, now that the warm up act is through, bring on the big dogs, snake...calling snake...

FreedomMilitaria
NAZI is an acronymn for National Socialist Party. Hitler was just Crazy.
Remember a Communist is just a Socialist in a hurry!

FredomMilitaria,
you are correct in your post; however, there is a difference between party affiliation and political ideology. Hitler was a member of the Nazi party. Once he was the leader of Germany, his policies followed a Fascist ideology. That is why the Third Reich was considered Fascist.

the expression wolf in sheeps clothing. sammyD taught me that one when we were in our war of the words, during the campaign.
Go figure-- Hitler didn't tell the German people that he was their Dictator!!

are so smart.

Though I do agree with you on the correlation between Hitler and Obama as far as political, I do not believe that this situation is nearly as evil as the true intention under that regime, however, socialism was Obamas root campaigning strategy. But, he is quickly realizing that he will not be able to go through with most of his agendas and that he has much to learn before he opens his mouth.
FreedomMilitaria
you got the meaning of the whole thing. thank you. true the situation isn't as evil as was then, but the idealism is there all the same. deeply masked in promises of a NEW nation.

between Obama and Hitler, though perhaps convenient for his detractors. It kind of reminds me of the Kennedy parallels with Lincoln where Kennedy had an aid named Lincoln and Lincoln had an aid named Kennedy--that sort of thing.
Having said that, I worked for the McCain campaign for the last year and I am sorely disappointed by this election. I think Obama is one scary dude, particularly where civil liberties are concerned. I'm also worried about his 'redistribution of wealth' issue where he basically is for taking wealth from those who earned it and giving it to those who did not. When he says 'change' he is talking about the change in your pocket. We are a resilient nation. I only hope his inevitable screw-ups will not test this resiliency beyond the breaking point. If this country really is headed toward a socialist monstrosity, I am only grateful that I am old enough that I won't have to put up with it for long. Too bad about you kids.
LLE
but his exposition was brilliant. That points up the naivete' very nicely.
Clint, you might get tenure as a Senior Lecturer if you keep that up!!
