I prefer Corbon DPX, Winchester SXT, and Federal tactical HST. All of these flower out with talons rather than mushroom.

For standard hollows I like the Hornady TAP. Hydra-shoks are good too

My Glocks both like 115 gr Cor-Bon +P JHP (not DPX. Haven't tried it yet), folled by 124 gr +P Speer GDHP. Hornady XTP, Remington Golden Sabre, Federal Hydra Shok, and Extreme Shock AFR have all gone through my Glocks, but the most important thing in a defensive round to me is whatever is closest to point of aim, point of impact with my sights. Hornady is coming out with a new round that has a polyme cap over the nose to keep the cavity from being plugged up with barrier material, but the Hornady rep said the stores probably wouldn't be getting it until the end of this month, if not right after the new year. All told, Cor-Bon seems to have the best reviews and biggest following of all the major ammo companies, so I'll probably stick with that. As for price, what is your life worth? Forget price for defensive ammo, you can bargain shop for your practice ammo.

But the muzzle flip (not recoil) of a 44 mag in a steel frame 4" barrel didn't seem much worse than a 10mm or even .40 Glock to me. The recoil is much more jarring, but it come back on target pretty quick. And as much as I love Glocks, revolvers have always seemed to be more natural "point and bang" type guns to me.

I think we posted these last two in the wrong area. Thanks for leading me astray.

Diffently need to revamp that list. The god dots shoould come in last. I've have tested them in substances along with others and they did not expand after passing through heavy clothed work clothes and drywall mud. everything else worked has expected. In order according to my tests....
1. Hydra-shocks exspanded very well, and the EFMJ also very good
2. Remington Golden Sabers, always expanded, good penetration.
3. Hornady TAP/XTP 147gr. expanded as advertised and penetrated deep.
4. Silver tips always expand good very much decent penetration.
5. The golden Saber 147gr. expanded very little.
6. LE Hydra-shok 124 gr +P+ Excellent upset and good penetration.
7. gold dot in 45ACP worked pretty good as with the 45ACP XTP also.
