My main piece is a Glock 19. Although I have a holster for it, I really don't like it very much. It seems to get in the way. I'm looking for a holster that I could use for concealed carry that really would conceal it. I'm right handed and my most comfortable draw is across the front to the left side. I want speed, of course, but I'm also concerned about security. Some of the holsters I've been looking at look like the gun would fall right out with any excuse at all. Any recommendations?

I use a Galco Paddle Holster. It clips on, can be used cross draw, no thumb strap to release and is very form fitting. Your gun won't fall out. You can infinately adjust it for cant, etc. I love mine. Take a look at them. I will see if I can find the info. Which holster do you now have?

And thanks, Hamp. I took a look. I now have a cheapie 3-slot with a strap. I think it is intended for open carry. I've seen cops with them. It doesn't conceal well. I was playing with it this afternoon and finally gave up on it, hence my query. Oh, I see you posted a pic, Sam. Up next. Tx.

Are you the dealer, manufacturer or distributor of these? If so let me know and maybe we would be interested in carrying them...

In most of my experience you get what you pay for. I have 2 custom rigs from Kramer (horsehide belts/ MSP paddles, 0-degree cant, with single mag pouch), and they're worth every penny. Likewise from the larger makers, Safariland Galco and Bianchi all put out some great leather.

Most of the inexpensive plastic/Kydex holsters I've had were bags of crap. The only exceptions have been BlackHawk and Fobus....each company has put out $20-30 holsters that I got years of service out of.

My G19 is usually either in a Fobus paddle or a Galco shoulder rig.

a recommendation but i use a BLACKHAWK Universal special ops shoulder holster rig for my XDm. I find the softer nylon to be more comfortable during my active days in and out of trucks.

I have reasons for the things I do, just don't expect them to be reasonable

was talking to

was talking to a friend of mine who is a retired cop. we got talking about cc holsters
i asked because i know he allways carried a 1911 or 2 . he told me simpllly this you cant find one holster for every job . and you will have to change the way you dress to carry concealed so you have to get a few to do the same job at differant times
that was his opinon i love to carry my 1911 all the time but i cant so i have a s&w 642 in a iwb holster when i am out on my boat or just wearing shorts and a t shirt

Like TXLUCKYGUY, I also use the Kramer IWB holster. I swear by them. Besides they are made in Tacoma, just down the road from your hacienda...

Falco holsters

I've heard some good recommendations about Falco holsters (www.falcoholsters.com) and I already ordered some of them. When I receive it I'll take some photos and you can take a look.
