yup

It's been getting worse lately. I wish there was a way to only allow one account per IP address.

So, to help fix this,

why not give more people mod authority? Wouldn't that allow people to delete this stuff faster? What's the difference between this site and other forums that don't have this many spammers?

More mods who are consistantly logged on certainly couldnt hurt. It has to be admin who assigns mod authority to a user. I believe other sites have precautionary measures built into the registration system that we don't have, such as verifying a legit email address, retyping those f'd up codes that you can barely read in the first place, etc.

to change the site and require email and verification, or has this place gone by the wayside?
