Hunting was a bust
They couldn't leave well enough alone, broke out the Kessler's and Smirnoff and I broke out my keys and drove back home... Won't do that again... Being drunk and hunting just don't seem to be a good mix to me, call me a sissy I guess. No sir, he fell into that bullet...
Never argue with a stupid person. They'll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience!! |

I should have known better. It was the same thing when they talked me into going deep sea fishing for Marlin. They all got drunker than hell and it turned into a 2 day boat ride with me having no where to go to get away from them...
I'm done with them. My wife convinced me that even they were not so ignorant to pull this crap...
anyway...
I'll put some money together and see about flying out and meeting up with my son for some hunting next season some where.

we need to get a hunt together somewhere. Maybe go out to a WMA more north, where they deer are a little bigger. lol maybe lake city or something.

I've been kicking that thought around. I need to figure out with my son when he can actually have a week of two off so we can meet up.
Yeah, I was thinking some where out Midwest or West. I've hunted up in Maine quiet a bit when I was younger. So, I've kinda had my fill of having the wade through 3 foot of snow in the open and the woods were pretty thick. Best places I remember up there was either Orchards, Fields or the Power Lines.
Where I was at the tree's limited the range of a clear shot from 5 feet to maybe 50 yards at most inside the woods. Oh and the ground rolled in such a way that if you did not have a good sense of direction you could walk 30 feet off the road and loose it.

hunting years ago, too many jackasses involved, either drunk or shooting at a twig snap or both.
