whats the best way to convert pictures (developed 35MM) from snapshots to digital.. This probably sounds simple minded, but i honestly don't know.. is it a scan thing.. our daughter has a scanner if that's the case.. I have a box full of pictures i want to share with you guys.. If you remember from the first time i posted pics back after Thanksgiving this is all new to me.. I have lots of others ive taken since then.. but none of my friends are camping trips.. Ones i want to show you..
Is it just her scanning them in and then emailing them to me are what..I don't suppose you'd like to have some mail would ya.. can you still send pictures to Cali or is that against one of thier laws to.. laughing but serous.. Help for those of us still stuck in an analog world would be appreciated..

in my position as an owner-operator with national contracts, i just can't be putting myself out there...so for the time being my kid has no problem posing with our hardware

when my ex and I split the sheets she took off with ALL the pictures in the house (out of spite), every one. She took the kid's baby pic's, my pic's of when I was in the CG, pic's of when I was growing up, every last one.
She then proceeded to become destitute so god only knows where they ended up, probably the landfill so my pic's will be limited to more recent times....One of the many prices I payed to get rid on the nasty c__t. (some words are to harsh for even Gunslot)..lol

You can get a cheapie printer/fax/scanner/copier for not very many $. They want you to buy expensive ink, so the price of the machine is pretty low. You'll need some sort of image software to manipulate the resulting files. Some of those are free, such as Picasa from Google.

greg, I have scanned hundreds of pics on a flatbed scanner. You can even scan several at a time. The scanner will know to separate all the pics, mine surprised me by doing so. I spent weeks scanning old family pics. It starts out fun because you get to see the pics you haven't seen in a while. Then it gets to be a little boring. Just don't try to scan all of them at one time. I wish I was there to show you how. It is easy. You just have to be ready to tell the computer where you want them stored at on your hard drive. Then go back and create folders for all the different pics you have. Folders for camping, family trips and such. You might want to start scanning as soon as possible. Then back up all your pics "on line" and then save another copy on disks for the safe deposit box.
