a 50 caliber AR today. My shoulder started to hurt just thinking about shooting that bad MF'r. It probably can take any North American game, and any 1000 pound gorilla. I think it shoots a souped up modification of the 45-70. If anyone has shot one, please tell us what you destroyed with it. sounds like it was it a .50 beowulf or .500 phantom right? not a .50 bmg I assume since you said modified 45-70. (I don't know if they make .50 AE, .50 GI etc. uppers)

I looked at the wikipedia on it. It apparently can penetrate 1/4" plate at short ranges, and is used at road blocks.
