Does anyone know if there are negative consequences of doing this? I will use Clark Customs as they are highly recommended. They state that one can still use speedloaders or load by hand, as the old method which they do not use, one could not do that. Also, is the cylinder gap huge like the ugly highway patrolmen revolvers were? Thanks for the input, guys.

I am going to start

shooting in IDPA and wanted to have a model 29 I could use in the Enhanced Service Revolver Division. Thanks for the information, my main concern was hurting the looks of her. I like that I will have the choice of shooting either Standard or Enhanced by getting it done.

Model 29 in IPDA

Just make sure you load to .44 Special specs, otherwise you'll have mortal hell controlling the recoil, and that will ruin your times.

I just started competing, but have always wanted to win one with the model 29, so I am practicing hard to get there!!!
