Instead of using cardboard targets and poppers, I'm going to try and set up a shoot with water-filled milk jugs and poppers. Steel falling targets and exploding water jugs ought to be a great time for shooters and spectators alike. I'm going to come up with a couple stages and try to figure out how many jugs I'll need for this. I wonder if any of the big gun companies would be interested in sponsoring any of this. Probably not. It might be expensive, as I think competitors should have to use hollow point ammo for pistols to really make the jugs go splat.

because water is a valuable resource!
LOL.
Runs, that weird but do-able, shotgun blast comment tore me up last nite.
I know, it was humorous but not hilarious.
I guess the sun got to me yesterday.

night shoot

At a night shoot last year, I made 'dummies' out of cardboard boxes, coathangers, etc.....put some old clothes on them and armed them with rubber knives, fake guns, etc.

Inside the boxes I put 12oz, 16oz, or 2 liter bottles about 3/4 full of water.....broke a lightstick, lanced it and poured it in each. At 25-50yds you couldn't see anything special, but you knew immediately if you'd hit the 'vitals' on the target. Great fun, and a good example of positive reinforcement from reactive targets during training.
