where can i buy good bulk ammo. i need some for both home defense and some for just for fun.

I usually get better prices at the local walmart for 100 rd boxes of winchester white box. They have been low on supply lately. I use ammo to go for all of my rifle ammo.

yes, it can shoot +P. I don't recommend that you do it all day long every day.... but for defense purposes and practice with your defense ammo, you'll be fine.

Get your +p defense ammo, fire two boxes to get the feel, then another half a box every couple/few months, use regular fmj for practice. By the way, can the XD use lead rounds, or does it have the Glock-type rifling? Anybody?

lead is A okay. From what I have read lead realy is okay in glock too if you clean barrell with brush regularly. I always snake mine when shooting lead after every couple clips.

i own an xd .45 compact, it has very little felt recoil and is easy to control. i think youre gonna enjoy the range with yer new xd
