to all the good advice i have gotten from you knowledgeable gun folks here. After trying out a vast assortment of pistols i finally bought a GLOCK 21C. It seems like every sales person was trying to sell me some fancy 1911 pistol that would have cost me alot more ( all the pistol sales people up here are IPSC shooters ). The Glock just felt great in my hand and it was fairly accurate with my limited pistol shooting skills. I'am looking foreward to practice and getting to be a better pistol shot. I bought a box of Winchester 230 gr f.m.j. Is this some good food or does anyone have any good ammo suggestions for the new love of my life?

congrats on your purchase! break her in gently. the winchester FMJ ammo will be good for the range and plinking. I would get some good name brand hollow points to keep in it for defense.

Congratulations on your new Glock. I don't think you'll ever regret it. Yes, your Glock should eat up Win 230 fmj just fine. Go get you some hollow points to put in it for defense if you can get them. By the way, what is ammo going for in Canada these days?

for a box of 50 win. f.m.j. Way too expensive, thats why everyone shoots 9ml up here, its alot cheaper than 45.

handloads

I'am going to work out some kind of handload. Glock does not recomend this, probably due to liability reasons. What do you guys think?

Let us know how well you shoot with it...even post up some targets, if you dare, but make sure you got your armor on with this group! And for God's sake, if you post a picture holding it, keep your finger off the trigger, that will get you about 40 responses almost immediately!!! Good luck with it.

Reloading for Glock

You can reload for them. You are right, it's just a liability issue. I reloaded a bunch for my G22 with no problems. And with 45 ACP, if you plan to shoot as much as you should, reloading is really the only smart choice. As for defensive ammo, try the 185 gr Rem Golden Sabre round. I've read nothing but good things about its accuracy. 45 is pretty slow, so for reliable expansion, you'll want a lightweight (185-200 gr) JHP for it.

that the previous lib govt put in place. Military style rifles are allowed here and so are handguns as long as you have not had a criminal conviction in less than 5 yrs. We are constantly under attack from the libs ( we have a consertive govt that is pro-gun in at the moment ). I'am afraid that it wont last forever though. The younger generation does not know how much the role that guns and traps played in the history of Canada, there would be no Canada without guns, at least not as we know it. Gun ownership is under attack in all freedom loving countries. I'am very concerned for my American friends, for if law abiding citizens that own guns don't stand up against this attack on freedom and liberty that is being waged by your new administraton, Canada will follow suit. I dont have to sell this to you guys, because you already know what i'am talking about. Canadians can learn alot from Americans by the way you guys stand up and dont take shit lying down. The rest of the free world takes your cue, stand up and god bless, my prayers are with you. Your gonna need it with that man in office.
