and probably not smart to answer for many.

How many LE and military would take up arms, against our citizens, to quell a revolution of the people in order to maintain our 2nd Ammendment Rights and to Preserve Our REPUBLIC?

Just throwing it out their for thought.

I know we all swore, military & ex-military, to defend and protect Our Constitution!

I was about to correct you yet again, but maybe, just maybe you did this on purpose this time. Were you suggesting that The United States of America is now a democracy rather than a Republic based on the way legislation is headed?

Look at the very top of the page rather than below your topic. I have wondered about this myself. My oath includes defending the constitution and obeying orders of the POTUS and officers. I have long wondered what would happen if those two parts of my oath conflict with each other. This is an open-source internet subject to monitoring, but I can say I will do what I feel is right and have already planned what actions that includes.

I would hope

I would like to think between the LEO's and military men and women we could at least get 50% on the Second Amendment side and the rest we would have to stand up and fight against. I do think that we would have many more Military on the Second Amendment side of things then we would LEO's. I feel that American soldiers are much more trustworthy than LEO's. The LEO's have showed us over and over how trustworthy they are and I for one do not trust them.
American soldiers show day in and day out that they will stand up for and defend what is right and wrong.

I know I will still defend the Republic and the Constitution. The only problem is the government thinks we are a democracy.

I have found the Blade Tech DOH dropped and offset holster which looks promising. I read on another forum that I would have to remove the drop portion to be legal in production class, but it looks like it would still be legal. I like blade tech a lot, although the Safariland 5186 or 5187 both look good also. Guess it's a matter of who is least expensive.

The government will find a way to hold their soldiers committed to any of their commands, through bonus foodstuffs for your families or gold wafers for your dedication. They are the masters of human control, and when resistance faces them, you are expendable. The country would splinter through geological borders and loss of communication. The armed forces will be the only ones with equipment and fire-power for management and control. But it's in a person's soul to choose and please your stomach's pain, or die proud.

a unjust order. If you are ordered to say- shoot up a bunch of civilians, a soldier must refuse. Will police refuse to disarm people? Nope.
Most can not tell you the gun laws in NYS. I have an AK. One cop at hockey thought it was illegal to own it.
From now on I will not discuss firearms in mixed company- never know who might make a case...

Good advice

I have to agree with you on not discussing firearms in mixed company. I am a bit of a gun whore and I am a bit a survivalist/preper. I have had co-workers and people I barely know say if the shit hits the fan I am coming to your house. I always promptly reply you do and you will be feeding the hogs and the chickens. They say OK and then I tell not actually feeding the animals, but be animal feed, and they laugh and I do not and they usually drop the subject.

I always thought that survivalist and redneck were synonomous!
The difference between persons like you and the antagonist that labeled you is free thinking. They are jealous that you took the time and discipline to protect yourself and your family.

I think being prepared is a good idea. I have water filtration, MRE's and lots of ammo for my AR. I have thought about chem gear since leaving reserves....

Back to the subject.

Brothers in arms,Fellow Americain Patriots,as far as my county down here in the Florida Panhandle goes,I can assure you that 90% of our LEO's would throw away their badges - which are nothing more than a piece of metal- before ever considering any form of martial law against our own kind.LE is a job to protect civilians and our God given rights as is the military. We are just like any other Americain civilian when not on duty,no better than anyone else.I was looking for a job when I found this one!

I sure hope you are right about that, because I do not think that number would be that high anywhere else. I am not saying that your small town LEO's would not stand behind their locals, but I think the big cities would be in complete turmoil. The government would do like they did during Katrina and send officers to a different part of the country so they would have no personall conection to the people they were stripping the rights from. That is just my .02 worth.

Sam you have brought up an intriguing question. "In order to preserve a more perfect union..." What is the more perfect union? Who has the right to define this? "We the People..." are the sole, final arbiter of law and justice and the concept of the more perfect union. The government and the military and the LEO's are subject to the authority of the people.

Just some thoughts.

hey all,

Leo's & all military current & ex have sworen to up hold the constitution and to protect the citizens of this Great Nation. that is everyone's primary goal. Our fore fathers gave us the seconed amendment so that no single person or group could take controll. against the people of this nation. change can and should be by the people for the people only.
I would really like to see this thru, our present system even though it is flawed. (but thats only due to us being human).

So, why not "VOTE" them (whomsoever) out of office. Check the length of time your Representative has been in office. And, check their benefits too.

I'm military, but was also raised in a small town in the texas panhandle. Guns have been apart of my life as long as I can remember. I've done things in the military I didn't agree with, and would refuse a unlawfull order in a heart beat. But when you control the goverment, how long would the order remain unlawfull? I swore just like everyone else, and remain steadfast in my loyalty. But if the safty of my familey were in jepordy..... I like to think I would make the right decision.
