Hello. I am writing this in need of some help. My grandfather passed last year, and not until last week did I find out. Being a 3rd generation of my grandfather to carry the name, he left me a few things. 3 of them being firearms. They include a Winchester 30-30 Lever Action, a Smith and Wesson .380 Bodyguard, and this strange one I've never heard of...a Jiminez Arms 9mm. Upon receiving I went and fired these weapons. No issues with the rifle or the .380. I'm in love with the BodyGuard!!!!!! When it came to the Jiminez the difficulty came into play. It just would not fire. I'm just entering the world of weapons, so my knowledge of troubleshooting and maintenance is slim. So I was wondering if there was anyone who owns a Jiminez or has any intel on this problem. I NEED HELP! I like the feel of this gun, and so anxious to see what it's capable of. So anyone that's willing to give a hand, i'd really appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

Jimenez

Your not using it correctly, you don;t shoot it , you throw it at what you want to hit.

I also agree....

That's what I feel like doing, but being my grandfather left it I would like to restore it, and keep it. We weren't close, so for him to do that...kinda means something I suppose. But I must agree it's a piece of shit. If it wasnt for it being given to me I would make the frame into a belt buckle...

BasedMonstah,

you've had a few comments about what a piece or work your JA9 is.
Now you can accept the fact that all those smug comments are based on BS. Don't let the baseless opinions of others embarrass you about it.
Your idea of keeping grandpa's Jimenez is a good one, just because it is inexpensive is NO reason to get rid of it. Whether you shoot it or don't is not the issue, remember Grandpa and ignore the "cheap gun" remarks.

"Allegedly, the JA-NINE 9mm handgun was prone to catastrophic failure under normal firing conditions. (If you have any proof of a catastrophic failure please email this website. As far as the owner of this site has been able to research, none have been presented to a court of law). "

Jiminez!

LOL, I bought a Jiminez for $20 in 2001. Wanted my money back, lol. But, you got two awesome guns out of the deal and a boat anchor, 2 out of 3 ain't bad. Enjoy your new guns and enjoy the forum!
