I need some gun advice
I have decided to buy an ar-15 and i was wondering if anyone could give me their expert opinion on what would be a good brand to buy. I'am just learning about these style of rifles and dont even know where to start. What do you guys think of the Remington R-15? Bushmaster? Armalite? ect "Give me liberty or give me death". I would go for a Bushmaster M4.
The Bushmaster 16 inch M4 Carbine is designed for situations requiring a lightweight, rugged firearm. The 16 inch Barrel makes it legal without permanently attaching the flash suppressor or brake. The 1 in 9 twist barrel is chrome lined for maximum longevity and accuracy, as well as ease of maintenance.
For muzzle flash suppression, a bird cage style suppressor is fitted. A six-position, telescoping buttstock offers light weight and ease of carrying. The light weight, forged, 7075T6 aircraft quality aluminum receivers are finished in a non-reflective mil. spec. hard anodize for durability, and incorporate all M16A2 design improvements including cartridge case deflector, last round bolt hold-open and raised ridges for magazine release button protection. A mil spec manganese phosphate outer coating insures complete protection against corrosion or rust on barrel and other exposed steel parts of the weapon.
The Bushmaster 16 inch M4 Type Carbine operates in semi-automatic mode and will accept all capacity AR15/M16 type magazines. It is shipped in a lockable, clamshell style, hard plastic case - complete with 30 round magazine, carrying sling and Operator's Safety and Instruction Manual.

when my wife gets her restricted licence in the mail i'll be asking about a decent brand and cal handgun for a 5ft 2 120 # gal, wont be for a while though because she just wrote her exam and up here in Canada ol' big brother likes to make ya jump through hoops and then he sits back and takes his sweet time.

For an AR-15 Colt makes a great AR and so does Armalite. The Remington SR-15 and DPMS are owned by the same company. The DPMS AR-15 is a better rifle for less money. Stag Arms makes a great rifle for right handed and left handed people. Olypmic Arms make a great rifle with a good trigger. You will have to hand some of these rifles in your hands and see which one you like the best and for the money you what to spend.

I have a Bushmaster and love it. I have a lot of experience with colt as well. all brands mentioned above will be decent rifles. I would just stay away from no name kit guns and get a good name brand that you can find the best deal on.

I like my Bushmaster a lot, it's reliable and one of the less expensive ARs. The thing is I have no experience with any other brand so my knowledge is limited.

I have a DPMS with a 20" upper the thing is awesome. For the money you cannot beat them, I have shot with guys with the more highend stuff. Guess what they shot the same as my DPMS, and I spent less than half they did. With the Nikon scope on my AR it shoots sub 1" 5 shot groups at 100 yards with factory ammo. You do not have to spend 2000 dollars to get a good AR. My buddy bought one of the R15 Remington's and he hates it. The finish on it barely takes anything to scratch it off and he has had no luck at getting it to group.

What model do you have and is there a pic?

You got lucky if that's true. Most factory AR are doing good to shoot 2" @100yd. Although I did read about a Tubbs rifle in .223 that shot a 1.6" group @ 600 yds. That's effing insane
