It is the soldier,

It is the soldier,

not the President,

who gives us a Republic.

It is the soldier,

not the Congress,

who takes care of us.

It is the soldier,

not the Reporter,

who has given us Freedom of Press.

It is the soldier,

not the Poet,

who has given us Freedom of Speech.

It is the soldier,

not the campus Organizer, who has given us the

Freedom to Demonstrate.

It is the soldier,

who salutes the flag;

who serves beneath the flag,

and whose coffin is draped by the flag,
that allows the protester to burn the flag.

I do every chance I get... I know the importance being military myself! My daughter and I were in San Antonio at the River Walk a few months back and it must have been graduation day for the Airmen at Lackland AFB. I noticed the majority of them were with family and friends! As we were disagreeing on where to eat I noticed an Airman off by himself, we approached him and I offered to buy him lunch. Being straight out off basic he tightened up and said "no sir im fine"! After insisting he finally said ok! To make a long story short we ate, talked about my time in and his next duty assignment...etc. I gave him my address as requested and about 9 months later I recieved a package... in it was an American flag that was flown over Iraq in an F15E that he was a crew chief for! Needless to say it is a very special item to me and his actions are a direct reflection of our military's willingness to give without reserve!

God bless you man. I can remeber being at Lackland for basic traing in 1964 and they made the airmen ride on the back of the Public Transit busses. I still don't care for San Antonio. I was 21 at the time and a big time Calif guy. I wouldn't sit on the back and damn near got sent to jail. I was ready to take on any and all comers, so they left me alone...LOL

that was a good story. if only we all took a little time and made a soldier know how much his/her service meant to us personally. my son wrote some letters to active duty people via the local V.F.W. he got a response with pictures and an arm patch. he was thrilled.

good storie

During christmas time the family and I were at Coscto. While we were there I saw a young guy probably 25 that was just back from Iraq, he was wearing an Iraq Veteren hat. He was standing there with his family and I must have seen 20 different people shake that mans hand and tell him thank you. His son of maybe 4 years old asked him Dad why are everyone thanking you? He told his son that people where glad that Dad made it back from where he had just come home from. Then an old man wearing a World War II veterans hat approached him and asked the young man if he earned his hat or just bought it. The young man said no sir I earned it, the old man said then I would like to shake your hand and thank you for your service. The young man said no sir I thank you for your service because if it was not for men like you keeping us free back then we would not have had our chance to repay the favor.
This made me realize that true American pride was not gone.

Obama, and his liberal goons are going to do everything in their power to try to destroy the armed forces of this country.

I just pray that there are enough Americans who will not put up with the lies and the attack add they will be buying that they are about to unleash on the American public.
