New comers, high jacked posts are just that.. the etiquette is if it's shooting or serious politics we don't.. ok sometimes we elder statesman occasionally forget..

i've got a recipe Lou.. it's Gorton's Tilapia, breaded frozen.. May not be a "purists" dream, but honestly very very good.. and like 15 min in the oven for perfect breaded THICK tilapia.. just saying...

Ok the high Jack.. Watched the opening to the super bowl, and our National Anthem made me so mad i'm afraid i lost my Christian bearing for a bit.. I only saw maybe 1 in 5 with their hands over their heart..

I know you guys caught this.. i missed the first part of the Anthem.. here i am standing at attention in my home.. bunch of (ive deleted this twice already) couldn't believe it.. I was mad at the athlete's, then they panned the crowd.. I have never seen so many people just standing.. no hand over heart, no hand salute (now allowed for vets in civies) nope.. Just stand there.. disgusting and sad..

Back to the game.. hope it rains on em

on a bunch of onion powder, garlic powder, dill, Mrs. Dash and paprika. Bake 20 min @350 and voila.
Recipe says "generously" with the spices but I go light on the dill.

Lou you're holding out on your old pal here.. I haven't had a chance to read the rest of the threads, but umm whats the firearm..how bout a category.. long gun, hand gun, shootie. talk to us Daisy.. The Tilapia deal is heat n eat for sure, and im not a big fan of that.. can you see the but coming from like New Mexico.. but.. the fillets are thick.. the batter is just right ..not to junkie.. the taste is fresh and the whole package is perfect.. Who doesn't like fresh fish.. but a pain to keep around.. least for us.. This is a no compromise nothing but good deal.

reason I'm not talking until tomorrow is I want to make sure the "backup piece" works.
If it's junk and don't work then there's nothing to talk about.

Honestly, it is a cheap backup gun that you could use as a "drop" if needed.

Daisy, Harley..

I love old cheap guns Daisy you know that..Not enough to waste a woodie on.. Ok, not unless its a Python or Victory model.. Not that big on cheap new ones, but any new gun is fun, and wish you well with it. Will be waiting tomorrow..

Harley i apologize i had you on that last post, and forgot to include the comment.. basically just a second to the first welcome.. except this one is based on your posts.. Think you'll find this a good place to be.. Your obviously our sort.. (unfortunatly thats not much of a compliment lol)

Night my friends.. late and past that time..

The bad guys. no question they were going to catch you.. no question you were going to get cold.. No question cold crab is disgusting.. i still don't get the sushi thing.. it's raw for pete sake.. Same thing with oysters.. it's an acquired taste.. yeah .. sure... just let me cook that for 15 min or so ok..

I did not mind being very wet and cold. It did not bother me to see a 10 gallon pot of REAL food kicked over by a guard. When the guys hit me in the stomach with the rifle butts it was not the worst. The worst was the damn crabs we caught on the beach, almost cooked in a big pot of SALT water, the stench would gag a maggot.
Other than that SERE was okay :<)

collecting in day light. It had just got dark when we were released from lectures to gather the bounty of nature. Only the slowest crabs and some mussels. I would have killed for some raw Abalone :<)
That was the last "meal" we had for a week. We got a 5lb can of mystery meat air dropped to us but as I mentioned, it was kicked over by a guard when it was ready to eat.
I was so tired I did not care how many times I was hit or where. My face was so puffed up when I got home it looked like I had mumps and bee stings. The 1st night at Warner Springs a Lt. was hogging the camp fire, got his feet into it and set his parachute on fire.
On the evasion phase an E7 was having trouble breathing, I stayed with him helping him get as far as he could. Obviously, we got caught. He went home and I went to hell LOL !
As I recall, my first meal after SERE was macaroni & cheese, about 30 pounds of it !
I went through SERE in 1965
