Carlos "Whitefeather" Hathcock is STILL a badass.
Yes, he was & is.
He will always be one of the true heroes of the Battlefield. Know matter where you look, and how far back, or foward, he had a passion for his job and was the best their ever was, if Alvin York was real Vaq, I bet Carlos would be in his category, and a lot more in Iwo-Jima, Battle of the Bulge, Pork chop hill, and so on. How did Rosevelt put it a day that will live in InFAMINY, Carlos should have had a movie for him and that would have told a story close to Alvin York's and where he was from. My dad did not like Audie Murphy, I never knew why really, but he must have been a tough son-of-a-bitch. Wonder why somebody never made a movie about Carlos ? JLC
Hollywood might take some artistic liberties, but not so much back then.
timeless,must see really.
Thankyou for the comment and like I said this will prove the little prk is wrong. I hate him anyway, the Cous, not Alvin my heroe, and wasn't he like Carlo's , but I know because it was Vietnam right.
Believe it or not, a cousin of mine said he was made up for an old movie, so I did not really know for sure, but growing up that was our favorite movie and story, and I always thought it was real. So F-you Cous I was right, and Vaq you just gave me the truth link to shut the little bastard up for once. Thankyou Vaq. John
"behind every blade of grass"
I need a tissue.
So they really gave him the bottom land and all, the parade, I guess the whole thing, deserved it too. Now Carlos was from Tennesee right. JLC
The state bought it and gave it to him.
Parades and all.
The only thing I might question is the lightning blowing the shoes off of the mule.
Don't know where Carlos hailed from.
He was from Arkansas.
Yep, another fine example of American badassery.
