Just venting here
***JUST VENTING HERE*** I freaking hate it when people refer magazines as "clips." The correct term is "magazine." It's just freaking hate it when I hear peope say "clips." It's sounds like they trying clip something together. It bothers the hell out of me. You never heard "clip well." No, it's magazine well. The whole thing just pisses me off. Sorry about the rant here guys, just getting this of my chest. Always keep your powder dry, and your eyes on the target. |

i have a son-n-law who i can't break of the "clip" thing.. take this young man with me all the time to gun stores in Prescott and Wickenburg, and everytime he says "clip" i sorta cringe and notice that the regulars are looking at me like...your not teaching this guy why?..
On a related note.. one of our own memebers here.. going to stay nameless, but he's one real bright young man.. He used clips, then started using magazines.. He told me that he changed to clips as he was working with people who didn't know a gun from a potted plant, and said every time he used the term magazines he confused people..

I remember this like it happen yesterday. While I was at basic, we're down at the rile range, and qualiflying with our M-16s, and my buddy was doing brass patrol and picking up the empty magazines. and he ask if there were any extra "clips" and the DS overheard him, and made him do push ups while wear his battle gear. He learnt that lesson the hard way. So, the moral of this story is, don't use the word "clip" around Drill Sergeants at the rifle range, unless, you want to do push ups.
