Justice Department blocks new Texas law
Justice Department blocks new law requiring Texas residents to present photo identification before voting, citing concerns that it would restrict Hispanic voters. It never fails to amaze me when I see the Fed Gov attempting to sodomize the states. iyaoyas |

LOL, daisy, I just posted on this about the same time. I've always had to show photo ID here in Tennessee before they let me vote. Just a way to get more hispanic votes.

I have to show photo ID and my voter registation. Why are Hispanics exempt? I wonder who I can cry to now that I'm clearly being targeted for disenfranchisement because of my race......

corruption.
No one is above the law, not even wetbacks.
Would "The Republic of Texas" be better off to tell obama and all the other corrupt panderers to "git a lawyer, we'll see ya in court"? Or maybe just ignore the hell out of the fedgov and turn away ppl who do not have I.D., ya think?
The fedgov needs to be taken to the woodshed.

I thought for a second about saying something about the term wetback, since my girlfriend is Puerto Rican, but, she's quick to point out that term doesn't apply to them and that she's an American. I've always found it funny that even though they're all lumped as "Hispanics" by the government there's no unity between Puerto Ricans and Mexicans or Cubans and Mexicans. In fact, if you call a Puerto Rican or a Cuban a Mexican, be ready to fight because it's on!
However, my beautiful lady did vote in the last couple of elections, and was asked to present her ID and did so without complaint of any sort. The rules are the rules, after all, and never once has she asked to be treated as though she were above them due to her race. So, if a bonafide American like herself can do it, and I can do it, why is it suddenly illegal to "burden" Mexicans with the same responsibilites we have no choice in? I mean, if they get a waiver, I want one, too!

or sewage drains to illegally get into the U.S.
I have a relative who married a (legal) Mex and suddenly he is hypersensitive about ANY conversation regarding immigration. I don't invite him over for tortillas and beans anymore ;<(
I love Cuban and Puerto Rican food, your lady a cook? Mrs. Daisy & I go to a Cuban restaurant occasionally, a rarity in Arkansas.
Black beans, rice and plantains, ummm um.

No, she's pretty, lol. She can cook a little, but I'm the brother of a trained gourmet chef so most of the cooking is for me to do. (I'm multi-talented, I can use peppers for spray or for stuffing, lmao.)

the whites into one category as well, actually among the younger people there is a small revolt going on in the "ethnic categories" with lots refusing to say or checking"other" and that goes across all the different ethnicities...except the pollacks,i mean how many fucking times do you gotta explain shit right.

If enough of us do that it would really confuse the powers that be. Might be worth the effort....
