Kahr CW 45

Thinking about getting rid of my CW 45. Should it stay or should it go!? it was an impulse buy about a year ago and its been on my mind or about the last 3-4 months. Maybe some of ya'll can talk some sense into me either way.

$400 (new) here in town at a gun show. It gets away from me on my 2nd and 3rd follow up shots, and I find it has a heavy trigger pull. Also I really have to get on the slide release to put the gun into battery. I do like the feel of the gun, and the factory sights. I shoot really well with it if I pause for about 1-2 sec. I just have to focus a little to much on my trigger control; more than i would like to in a defensive situation. I just cant get myself to carry it an a regular basis... Maybe I just need a little more practice with it?

no drop

NO I haven't experienced that. But I also don't bring it to the range as often as I do my others. I do like my Glock, but if I would get another compact I think it would an XDM or an H&K p 30. What do ya'll think?

my wife's XD subcompact 9mm is the most comfortable pistol I have ever fired. Now, you don't know me, so saying it's the most comfortable gun I've fired may not have much of an impact, but once you try it, you'll see. I am a Glock fanatic, but if I didn't already own Glock, I'd own a few XDs.

As far as getting rid of the Kahr, that all depends on what kind of gun owner you are. Some people like to say "I own x number of guns", even though they only shoot a couple very often. If you like your guns to have a purpose, then you've answered your own question. You have a carry gun that you don't carry regularly, so there's no point in having that gun.

I say get rid of it and buy more mags and practice ammo for the Glock, a reloading setup, or put it toward an XD.

or stick with the Glock and shoot like one. Be careful taking advice from someone who couldn't even figure out how to put an AK back together. I'm actually laughing right now. It's funny 'cause it's true!!!

Looks good?

No, it's an AK. It doesn't look good. It looks like a commie piece of shit that can't hit the broad side of a roadside taco stand. But I'm sure that in your capable hands, it'll become a commie piece of shit that can't hit the broad side of a roadside taco stand from the inside.

... after thinking about it I decided to hold on to it. I'm going to polish off a box of rounds, clean it up, and store it in my BOB. I feel its a nice gun and I would hate to see it go. I think I found a PRACTICAL use for it. A backup in a dire situation! Thanks for the advice. If anyone has any more advice it would be great! Thanks.

I think I might have to throw the bullshit flag.
