Kid's Video Games

I will be visiting a family in NE this spring & want to bring a video game for my pal's 8 year old son. Jeff's boys are in their 40's so I have no experience w/ this. What the quality game of choice nowdays? Something that will still be appropriate a few years from now. I'm looking for a stand alone system, not a PC game.

Thanks guys,

agree

that would probably be your best bet. they have tons of games for them. and the kids can have there kind that they like. they also have the ds-i. it has all kinds of stuff besides the add on plug in games. you can take pics and rearrange the subject into whatever. my kids have those and they are not tired of them yet. which is good for a kid.

PS3?

I own one and ya can do lots of awesome things with it, watch DVD's,Blue Ray movies,Cd's,PS2 games and PS1 games on some, and also if ya can get good internet connection you could play games online with people or just in general play on the internet. Awesome system for less that 300 clams.

I prefer the XBOX 360 over the PS3. But they are both good systems.
