Killer deal I scored

I picked this up yesterday. It is a Sako 338 lapua mag. 24" barrel with a fixed muzzle break, burris 4-16 scope, custom thumb hole stock, 40 rounds of ammo, 125 bullets for reloading, and the reloading dies. The rifle is in the 90-95% condition. Here is the best part I only paid 550 for everything.
Does anybody know where I can pick up a sniper style synthetic stock for this.( The model number is M995)

Damn, thats nice

Nice deal, I've never fired the .338 but have heard nothing but great things about it. Where you from Hillbilly? You'll need some serious distance to wring that thing out.

I live in Washington state. I figure I can shoot from mountian top to mountian top pretty easy now. Not to mention there is a couple 1000 meter ranges in my area that I can take her to.

Very nice

Have you shot it yet? Once you do, why not do a review on it?

Some help guys

Ok I have been looking at stocks for the new Sako and I am coming up a little short. What I am wandering is if say a Winchester Model 70 stock will fit the Sako. The Sako has a magazine so what ever stock I get has to accomodate that. Like I mentioned before the Sako is a M995. Hope I can get an answer I really want to start tricking this thing out.

sako

sorry, I don't know much about sako. I doubt the win 70 stock will fit it. nice rifle though, great caliber. ammo is expensive, but if you're reloading, it will help a lot

Check McMillan stocks. I have seen a couple for sale that had McMillan stocks on them that looked pretty sweet.

Ok guys I am getting ready to sell this gun and am kind of curious what I should ask for her. I got a screaming deal on it so I am unsure what to ask. The money is going to buying my .50 BMG.

hillbilly!

i think dollar for dollar you might me better off with the lapua.if any gun regulation comes down the line the first place they are gonna attack is the 50 cal.plus brass and bullets are cheaper for the lapua vs. the 50 cal.just my opinion.and you need to bring it by for a gunslot shoot so i can try it before it goes bye bye!lol

The brass and bullet for the Lapua cost more than the .50 BMG. You can get brass and bullets for the .50 a lot cheaper than the Lapua. Lots of military surplus ammo and the only ammo for the Lapua is all match and will cost you. Brass for the Lapua runs $2.25 a round unless you buy a 100 rounds of more and you can get .50 brass for as low as .60 for once fired brass. I do see where you are coming from in your thinking.

So what did you think of the pics of the girl? The guy I bought it from said he paid like 450 bucks for that pretty stock and man it feels nice. It is just to pretty to pack around though. It has had a trigger job done on it to, it is only about 2 pound pull.

Are you going to sell everything that you got for it at the same time? Wife wants to know how much you would sell it for?

She loves to shoot the big stuff. I'm holding out for the .408 CT rifle.

I am actually on kind of a budget build so I am looking at buying a .50 BMG from a place called BOHICA Arms. they build .50 BMG uppers that I can have shipped directly to my house. These uppers will bolt right onto any AR15 lower, but I am going to by a custom lower intended for the .50's recoil, although BOHICA's .50 can be used with any lower. The beauty of doing it this way is as far as big brother knows I just bought a AR15 lower and not a .50 BMG. Yes the Lapua gets it done but the .50 BMG is still the big dog, and I really want one.

She likes my 9mm..pretty comfortable with it, but I'd like to know she had a little more knock down power. She's kind of petite, so I don't wanna go to big on her..any suggestions?

Taurus has a nice little carry pistol in 40 S&W that would be great for her.

Yeah I was going to sell her as a package deal and I also have a brand new box of the Seirra 300 grain bullets that I going to sell with her to. As for a price I am going to have to ask around a bit so I do not screw anybody over including myself. When I figure it out I will let you know and when I find out.

fordvg what I meant about screwing somebody else is I am an honest guy and I would hate to sell it to somebody for more than it was actually worth then have them find out that they over paid and come back to say that Hillbilly screwed them over. This is happening all over right now because the Messiah getting into office and people are profiting off of peoples fears. I think as a gun group we should stick together and not try to rake a fellow gun nut over the coles.
