Congressional Democrats introduced a new and broader assault-weapons ban Thursday, in a vivid press conference that included a display of various weapons they want to outlaw.

Of course leading the way is diane feinstein, we have to fight these people at every turn, no retreat, no surrender. They are never going to stop, the only way to get them out is to vote them out.

Vote them out?

That isn't going to happen. They are in deep blue districts and have been appointed for life. There are only a few ways we can change anything. All require solidarity, but the logistics are extremely complex. Civil disobedience is one avenue. We could all let them make us criminals and all go to jail in protest. If we have solidarity, they will have to deal with a 60+ million increase in prison population, not to mention 60+ million less contributors to the tax system. And if you're keeping score, that's almost half the taxpaying population.

Or we could arm ourselves and start a "Million Gun" march on D.C., that would get their attention for sure.

Or we could outright assemble and revolt.

But, I wonder sometimes if it would be worth it when most Americans do not want America anymore.

Vote Them Out

I have been a proponant for term limits, and would back most any candidate that would push for them. That of course is easier said than done, the last things these slugs would do is vote them selves out of a job. They would never come after us all at once, they would do it like the nazis did, one at a time.

Term limits

Term limits have many benefits, but it's a two-edged sword. There are times (admittedly few) that the only good candidate for the office is the incumbent.

Case in point, Reagan. I sure would like for him to have been able to server more than two terms. Granted, his age may have been a factor thought. But, hypothetically, suppose a great man like Reagan stepped up out of the crowd and served two terms and, during his tenor, America prospered like never before, liberties were restored, the global community came to respect us again, etc. When his terms were up, would we really want to move on to a Ford/Carter-esque ticket?

I agree about it being a two edged sword however, in my opinion, it would do more good than bad. People like, pelosi, reed, feinstein, frank, kennedy(ted), waters, lautenberg, etc, etc would have been long gone. Congress should get to serve longer than two year terms but get them out after two terms. I even feel that way about the current speaker of the house, he needs to go get a real job as well.

I agree. The benefits outweigh the detriments.

It is my opinion that, even with term limits, we would have plenty of good people to run for office. It may even get more great people to run for office.
