Lee-Enfield No.4 MKI T

Well restoration is underway on the No.4. Couple concerning questions arose during the cosmoline removal and blue removal. On the reciver it says No.4 MKI T im obviouly confused as the T signifys it as a Sniper but I dont see any holse for the mounting of the scope. So is it possible to have been rushed out to the front before being fitted with a scope? It also has marking M47C which if memory serves means its a BSA?

Update, the Enfield is a true test of patience. Cosmoline, Grease whatever the brits called it is caked up everywhere. Even siaked in the wood which is a act in its own right.

My colley side of the family are from England, I am related to Victoria Cross Recipent Harold John Colley. Im not for sure how I am related exactly though. But my gandma says that some of our family are still in wales. But anyways Enfields tickle my fancy more than any gun I own.
