it keeps the nut jobs out!LOL You have to pay a yearly fee (100 Bucks), not bad for a year worth of shooting! The Best part is you can shoot every gun you have, all day long with maybe only five other people there! Sorry the fee is actually 70.

You see my range

on my Saiga video. I'm a member of the Tucson Rifle Club, but I don't shoot much there due to my schedule. I used to go every Tuesday to practice action pistol with a group of guys, but I haven't been there in almost two months. My range is free, public land, shoot whatever, whenever, however, at anything you bring out. Cochise County Jail inmates come out periodically to clean it up. I still wish people wouldn't leave trash, but I've harped on that enough already. And damn, 100 bucks a year? TRC is only 40 a year. Then again, you can't shoot shotguns on that range except when they do three gun matches and cowboy action shoots.

They have two pistol ranges, two rifle ranges, skeet, and trap. We also have a area to practice CCW draw and fire on the run.

He's got the Scottsdale Gun Club to brag about, with it's live fire kill house and belt-fed MG rentals. It's probably got the "Platinum Plus" area where you get a good full-release massage from a porn star after a hard day of sipping the white wine spritzers, snacking on caviar, and toying around with the .700 Nitro Express safari guns. They probably even have a bunch of greek oil boys, or at least illegal meskin kids that they can shoot at when the paper targets get too dull. Ah, to be a member. I don't think they like my kind 'round there. I spray paint my guns and ride my quad in shorts and flip flops.

Shoot at in laws farm

I don't have a shooting range like I did back in Indiana to shoot at. Do my shooting at my in laws farm with the farm behind it to.

is at www.ahlmans.com it costs 5 dollars to shoot all day or you can buy a yearly membership for 30 dollars. you can bring out paper, plastic or anything else you want to put holes in as long as you pick up afterwards.
I used to shoot indoors at a couple different ranges but shooting paper got old,now they charge up the butt crazy prices at the indoor ranges and i won't go there.

The Desert (Four Peaks)
http://www.mdpub.com/newphotos/Oct2004/four%20peaks.jpg

The majority of my shooting is done in the desert (every weekend). I tend to go to four peaks, butcher jones, sycamore creek, saguaro lake etc. once a week to ride bikes and quads, so I never let my rifles get too lonely. I get free lanes at both the indoor ranges, but since they only go to 65 ft, I only go there for pistol work a couple times a month. Although its still fun to let an M60 run indoors, ammo is expensive and I'd rather be outside. The outdoor range is pretty cool, and gets out to 500m and costs about $6 each visit, or an annual membership is around $80 I think. I don't have one.

My range

My range is the back side of the city landfill. Free. Shoot whatever you bring. Use whatever target you bring. Got to watch ricochets from all the rocks in the hills.

Most of my shoting is done at either the local "pickup range" thats 2mi west of AZ 89 on Sorrel ranch rd.(google earth 34.18N 112.45W to see) These good folks let us locals in Peeples Valley and Yarnell shoot at a graded and bermed area just off the ranch road.
We retired here in 2004 and its one of those "its always been here" things. Couple of 55 gal drums for trash that always seem to be half full of beer cans and homemade paper targets. The range is always fairly neat as we all pick up after those that have never been taught (or to lazy) to pick up after themselfs. This is honestly one of the most enjoyable places ive ever shot, only about 6 or 7 of us use it, and all(excluding me) the sort you want to hang around with. If im feeling lazy (this is a lot)I just drive directly from our home (34.16.47.09N 112.45.30.01W) to a couple of arroyos (thats mesk'n for creek) up the mountain. These are a safe distance from any residence, and only about 5 min away.

I have to drive 2 hours to get to a place where the rangers may or may not let you shoot. 5 min from an outdoor range. The guy that runs the place is a little wacky, more like creepy!

Like snake I also shoot on my own property. The closest club is about an hour away and you are limited to what calibre firearms you can use on thier 100yd max. distance rifle range. I can shoot a smidgen over 250 here.

Using at a gravel pile for road construction on SR92, but I'm hearing about another area off of SR90, so I'll have to check it out. Supposed to be a pretty rough road getting there, and all I have is an F350. Now I kinda wish I had a Dodge Dakota Sport.
