Sarah Palin Accepts David Letterman's Apology for 'Coarse' Jokes

David Letterman is under fire for crude jokes about Palin's teenage daughter.
Sarah Palin has accepted comedian David Letterman’s apology made during Monday night’s broadcast of “The Late Show” for crude jokes made about her and her teen daughters last week.

In a statement to FOXNews.com early Tuesday, the Alaska governor said, "Of course it's accepted on behalf of young women, like my daughters, who hope men who 'joke' about public displays of sexual exploitation of girls will soon evolve."

"Letterman certainly has the right to 'joke' about whatever he wants to, and thankfully we have the right to express our reaction," Palin said. "This is all thanks to our U.S. Military women and men putting their lives on the line for us to secure America's Right to Free Speech - in this case, may that right be used to promote equality and respect."

Women shouldn't be in that position. Although we did have Carter. Nevermind.

I live in NY and deal everyday with social programs and high taxes.
The NY libs think that their view of the world is the best. Its a different type of fascism. They preach tolerance of the races as long as the blacks stay south of 34th street. They think the rest of the country is backwords.
Imagine the gaul of the NYC environmentalists who live in a 'plastic' environment telling the rest of the nation what is environmental. Who cares more about the environment- an upstate ny fisherman/hunter or a blogger from seatle?
I am sick of the letterman type people who look down their noses at rural people such as Sara Palin as if we are white trash because we have families and values contrary to the unhappy NY elites.

I agree with SamD

Sarah Palin will make a fine president. In more ways than one. She has proven that she will take no shit from anyone. If somebody fires a shot across her bow, you can expect a return shot from her. She has stated that she vacated the governor's seat because of the pressures of holding that seat, the expensive legal fees, the protection of her family's privacy or any number of things that would make perfect sense, but she is about to take on the libs like a rabid bulldog in heat. Obama won't know what has hit him when she gets done with him. She is about to kick his ass up around his shoulders and make him whine like a little girl.

Her campaign slogan should be...

I don't give a shit. I don't take no shit. I am not in the shit business!

If the governor's office is too much for her, the presidency would drive her nuts.

I'd give her my nuts

We could have our own little tea-bag party in her orifice. I mean office. No I don't. I respect her for sticking with her values through everything, but she's not one I would want as my commander-in-chief.

Two or more terms?

That'll be the fuckin day. He'll do eight because he's taking from taxpayers and giving to freeloaders and working to allow illegals to vote, thus securing more Democratic voters. It's amazing to me that you libs like to think you're so smart, but you people use emotion and knee-jerk reactions to nearly everything.

Kneejerk reaction?

I never once claimed the Republicans were anything but scum. And let's look at a more recent recession. Reagan inherited one and how did he fix it? Cut taxes. Common sense says if you put more money in the pockets of the people, they will spend more, thus causing more jobs to be created. Spending our way out of debt? Are you kidding me? Hey, I don't have any money, so I'm going to go deeper in debt. And your statement of "Most economists" means nothing. This is just like the GW crap, I can find a scientist that says it doesn't exist for every one you find that says it does. People will say what they have to to get money. Let's use common sense and more recent events that WW2.

By the way, Bearmeat

Obama has taken more from taxpayers in the first few months than
Bush did in 8 years. He won't be content until we are all
dependent upon the government.
