LLE's SWANSONG

As I approach my seventh anniversary on GS, I find myself contemplating my mortality---NOT as related to my health or intellectual capacity--but in relation to looking at the WORLD as though it were a dysfunctional person, which it most certainly is.

I do not wish to bore my friends on GS, but I do want to leave you with my impressions of what I believe will be coming, in the near future. Please understand--I do not claim to have any ability to analyze [accurately] the present, in relation to predicting the near future, but, mysteriously, I have certain feelings, hunches, and conclusions, which my dear wife refers to, as "being in his 'prophetic mode' ". Indeed, one of my close friends, drew a picture of me---bearded-- longhaired--running around in circles--carrying a large sign which proclaimed: "THE END IS NEAR!!!"

Here is what I believe the USA is going to "bump into" in the near future. I say "bump into", because that is all that our central government has been capable of dealing with, over the term of the POTUS, so far. The POTUS has seen fit to attack the Constitution, in an obvious attempt to quickly erode and deprive guaranteed rights, so that he may remake the POTUS' authority, and thereby accomplish whatever "transformation" of the character of this Republic he needs, to accomplish: HIS vision of what is best for us all. In his having done so, have we seen PUSH-Back from our Congress!!?? None at all---so he knows he has them by their pusillanimous gonads [apologies to the females]. In addition, he directs elements of the Executive branch on his "payroll", to violate the law and guarantees their immunity, because he controls the Attorney General. ........[You could see Lois Lerner desperately trying NOT to laugh, as she was being questioned by a House Committee, about IRS treatment of Conservative organizations. You could see James Clapper, Director of National Intelligence, squirming in his seat, as he responded to a Committee, that he was responding in the "LEAST UNTRUTHFUL MANNER".].....and we have witnessed the near collapse of the U S Secret Service, for the first time in our history; was anyone disciplined!!?? The former Secretary of State participated in a perjury concerning the Benghazi debacle----has anyone been disciplined or charged???

So here we are with the POTUS controlling the Congress, the elements of the Executive Branch, including the Justice Department, and the State Department, and exercising a new form of Management, never before taught in any business university----Instead of management by objectives.......we the people are receiving management by impulse. The results we have been seeing have been nearly catastrophic----especially the installation of Obamacare, the negotiations with the Iranians over their Nuclear program, and the loss of our only trustworthy ally in the middle east.

The only remaining control mechanism the POTUS might have is the SCOTUS. I do not pretend to know that he HAS them under control, but their salient opinions on the Affordable Care Act, have been objectively questioned by most legal scholars.

DO YOU HAVE THE PICTURE!!!???? He has got us coming and going.
BUT--there is one thing he does NOT have control of--even if he thinks he does. He has alienated the majority of our great military establishment, who are soldiering on, under an incompetent, bungling Commander-in-Chief. "Military Establishment" means, not just active duty personnel--it means all of our reserve forces AND retired personnel, the most important of which are the General Officers.
I must emphasize, I have absolutely no "INSIDE INFORMATION", but I tell you that the people mentioned above will NOT allow Obama's direction to continue UNIMPEDED.
My guess is, that there has been and will continue to be, a "conference" of Senior Officers, whose purpose is to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America, and insure the orderly continuity of this, our beloved, beautiful, sovereign, country.
I leave with you the words of one of our most prolific founding fathers, Thomas Jefferson:

The tree of Liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Every citizen should be a soldier. This was the case with the Greeks and Romans, and must be that of every free state.

If you have heard that I have been spirited away by Obama's private Mafiosi,
do not be surprised, and do not mourn for me. I have enjoyed the best life
this wonderful country could have given me..........................

*You guys are the greatest*

They received a hint from the POTUS [Management by Preferential Hinting]. History, once more, has been rewritten. "Riff" did not come out of the Jazz Age, but was born in the toil and struggles of the Chicago neighborhoods, where the poor and oppressed worked diligently in producing homemade videos, which helped them to get ORGANIZED.
So--what I have been doing to get my chops back DID NOT include one riff, EVEN playing along with the JATP records, OR Herman, Shaw, Goodman, James, Basie, Ellington or Kenton records. It has gotten so repressive, that the Kenton/Wetzel "Intermission Riff", has been expunged from history, as has the famous Trumpet riff at the end of "Two O'clock Jump".[ It also is no longer proper or PC, to argue about WHO wrote the One O'clock and Two O'clock Jump melodies/arrangements. [ Basie, Goodman, James, or possibly John Birks Gillespie]. We SHOULD all understand, in the presence of claims by Goodman and James, there were Only two minority(N) musicians making a claim, therefore, there has been prima facie, EQUAL claim opportunity for the primary minority, PLUS the fact that ONE of the Non-minorities, IS A PROTECTED CLASS by virtue of his religion (H ). There can be no validity to any claim of discrimination, in the final analysis, BECAUSE these two melodies are based upon the well known chord pattern, referred to as "the twelve bar blues", and literally hundreds of such [similar] melodies exist in the public domain.]

As the former Governator of California once proclaimed in one of his movies---------

I'll be BACK

I wonder if the rulers of PC are going to try to intimidate me to take down my portrait of
"Uncle Bobby" (Robert E. Lee).

.............a son of the South, he may be, but he could never be on my team, because his previous behavior would disqualify him for Commissioned Officer status[the equivalent of Knighthood].

to spell that noun in that manner.....You must use the old English spelling, so as not to offend Black people.

I have kept out of trouble, but have not yet finished the music studio. I am awaiting a beauty of a Yamaha keyboard that I gave to my younger grandson, when he was still attending Rutgers U. He is no longer doing much music, since he is a design engineer with Boeing--Philadelphia. He was a fine Trombonist while in college.
On Tuesday, the wife and I are going to check out a brand new indoor shooting range, just opened down toward Pensacola, [IF the Islamo-terrorists decide not to stage an attack in honor of the great peaceful muslim holiday--Ramadan.]

If you know of anyone who has been searching for a Suzuki Samurai, I have one in very rare, wonderful shape. It has a new interior, a removable fiberglass hardtop[ instead of the usual Softie], new tires, and a strong four cylinder 5spd, plus 4WD.

is "wild and "woolley". We have both indoor and outdoor ranges. [$15/hr or $300/YR] The closest outdoors are 12, 15 and about 40 miles [CAS and rifles out to 250 yards]. The closest indoors are about 50 miles and 50 miles; The reason for those two indoors is that the first one screwed up their air exchange system design so badly, customer happiness turned into torture when Spring/Summer arrived. So, someone went back and designed/built another one correctly. The first one will be out of business soon, unless they either lower their prices, or improve their air-exchange system(or offer gasmasks). Luckily, they are near a first class hospital. Also, one of our FFLs is building an indoor range, locally. He is expected back from the sandbox area, in the near future. I think he has exceeded his limit on Muslims. His wife says he has been using a scoped AR .338L.

Lots of interest on the Samurai, but NO appreciation for the market. Those little cars/trucks are very popular, and thus, very expensive, especially when converted to rock-crushers. Mine is not. It rides/drives very comfortably @ ~ 30 mpg on the road, but IMO, is not as much fun as a good quarter horse.

horse driving teacher. The trick is to "become one with the horse". You can tell if you are subconsciously fighting se~nor caballo, when you are in canter mode, if you are NOT feeling as though you are in a big, soft rocking chair.

I learned at my buddy's farm, when I was about ten years old-----first bare back, then, English saddle, then Mclleland saddle, then Western. When I was in electronics school at Ft. Bliss, TX, I had a job after classes, at the old Fort replica stables, taking riding groups out in the boonies. I never took beginners out with experienced riders, because the beginners always introduced tension into the group. Some beginners were never able to confront and overcome their fears, and the horse ALWAYS knew it.
