M1 Carbine Magazines
Shot my M1 Carbine yesterday and the 15 round USGI mag worked great. I know they make 30 round magazines for the M2(full-auto)Carbine, but are they worth having? And do they require the M2 Magazine Catch for use on the M1? I was also wondering if there is such thing as a USGI 30 Round Mag? the m1 carbine and m2carbine mags should be interchangable. not sure about the 30 rounder.

I've heard that the M2 mag catch has to be installed on the M1 to shoot 30 rd mags with the M1. The M2 mag catch has a little extra piece of metal that is supposed to keep the heavier 30rd mag from falling out. Don't know if this is true or not?
