Made in America?

John Smith started the day early having set his alarm clock >(Made in Japan) for 6am. While his coffee pot (Made in China) was perking, he shaved with his electric razor (Made in Hong Kong). He put on a dress shirt (Made in Singapore), and tennis shoes (Made in Korea). After cooking his breakfast in his new electric skillet (Made in India) he sat down with his calculator (Made in Mexico) to see how much he could spend today. After setting his watch (Made in Taiwan) to the radio (Made in India) he got in his car (Made in Germany), filled it with gas (From Saudi Arabia), and continued his search for a good paying American job. At the end of yet another discouraging, and fruitless day he went home. He checked his computer (Made in Malaysia). John decided to relax for a while. He put on his sandals (Made in Brazil), poured himself a glass of wine (Made in France), turned on his TV (Made in Indonesia), and wondered why he couldn't find a good paying job in America! NOW HE'S HOPING HE CAN GET HELP FROM A PRESIDENT MADE IN KENYA!

Exactly, where is the Made for America by America, in this so-called free country.

pisses me off

I just changed a fuel filter on my 72 chevy.... the nice shiney type with glass so you can see your fuel being guzzled, after everything was tightened down I looked closely at some writing on the glass that read "Made in Taiwan"... I own a 72 chevy because it represents an era of american made product.... when cars were still made from good heavy steel, parts were made to last and when a guy had engine troubles he popped the hood to fix it...
I no longer have a new fuel filter and my truck still runs like shit... but dammit its american!!! (except the gas)

Made in America

If a product is of good quality and inexpensive, whether it was made in a foreign country or in America doesn't matter to me. Why buy an American product if the price of that product is excessively high so the union broom-pusher can make his 25 dollars an hour? If American companies can pay their workers based on value of their work and not based on union-driven entitlements, then the American products can compete. Of course the governmental fix to this could be to increase tariffs on foreign products, too.
