Making an electrically powered gun

Hey
I was wondering if anybody new how to make an electrically fired gun
and the advantages and disadvantages of using electricity.
Im considering making my own gun and an electric gun seems a lot
easier than making all the moving parts and stuff.

i ilve in australia and

i ilve in australia and getting a gun is very hard and the cops check your guns all the time and you need to fill out tons of paperwork and wait a month before you get one
