My cousin is arguing with me about pot. I never had the chance to try it because of my MOS requiring many urine tests.
He feels pot should be legal because it is no worse than alcohol. Of course my cousin lives in my uncles basement, unemployed and failed out of college. Any ideas becuase I really could care less either way- just wont do it.....

I think you should be able to do what ever you want. harder drugs that are addicting and that lead to crime, theft, welfare etc... should stay illegal, but i got no problem if you want to puff the magic dragon. just don't be a dumbass about it.

Responsibility?

If you are responsible and you do not cost me money via taxes, your business is your business.
I think everyone would agree on this non issue

I agree about alcohol, with so many peoples lives it has destoryed by it. No matter what somebody will mess up and it cost us all in the end. Just like alcohol has cause so much pain. I'm not crazy about people drinking alcohol because I have had friend's and family members kill by someone drinking and they thought they could handle it. I think alcohol should be illegal.

Anytime you put a forein chemical in your body, you are doing harm. My only vice is skoal. I have been trying to quit it for years (no self control). Is weed like tobacco? Is it addictive?

Really?

I am not talking about some college study about weed. I meant to ask anyone who has used it. If you smoked weed, did you have trouble quiting.

Weed

Look, there are two type of addiction, chemical and the psychological! I have smoked tobacco, weed, and...well...I have dipped, drank, and...well...

Smoking: You will have the nicotine addiction for approx. 3 days! thats it. after that you need to fight the oral fixation(the habit of just chilling and throwing the cigarette in your mouth and smoking) This can be curbed by sitting down and eating or chewing different flavored gum all the time when you feel the need to be that "Social Smoker"

Weed: There is no chemical addiction. You can stop smoking weed as long as you don't mind losing the mind altered state. Same thing as a fat kid giving up cake, no nicotine, but he still "needs" it because it makes him feel good.

I believe there should be restrictions on weed at the state level. Just broad federal laws, like "no storage or handling of over 100lbs" "have a license to sell" "Must be over 21" Then leave it to the states to regulate. But it should be legal for smoke under certain situations. Plus, medicinal marijuana should have never of been outlawed. It is used as a medicine, How dare them try to take it away. (Michigan voted to keep it legal the other day!!!)

How can anyone argue against letting sick people use pot. I need someone to explain why this is an issue. If you have cancer or something, pot will bring your appetite back, get rid of nausea of chemo,,,,....

my opinion

In my life I've tried allot of shit except heroin and any newer shit like crack or meth.I sold pot and hash in high school. and made a good buck. But as i got older i noticed the people i KNEW WERE ONLY AROUND WHEN THE FREE HIGH WAS THERE.I also got lucky to not ever get caught. Too many friends fucked up there lives by not being responsible and doing real stupid shit.So now i might take a toke once in a blue moon and nurse a drink. To answer an earlier question, The drugs were'nt addictive, but all the free pussy was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!lololol weehoooooooo Especially the blonde haired blue eyed cheerleaders who would blow me for a gram of lebanese hash.....aaaaaaah memories.....oops gotta go, my wife wants sex.....be back in 5 minutes

don't be scared

It's just pot, I have smoked off and on for the last 13 years of my life. However I do think that there should be an age to leagaly smoke. I regret starting so young. When you start doing drugs and alcohol at a young age your brain stops growing. So if you were to start smoking pot on a regular basis at the age of ten, you would have the maturity level of a 10 year old when your 20. Look at all the old stoners who have been smoking there whole life and tell me they don't act alittle immature.
I still smoke on occassion and don't think that there is anything wrong with it. I do notice though that the next day my thinking is a little hazy.
I do belive that it should be legalized. If we were to make pot legal and get rid of alcohol I think there would be less violent crimes and acciends. Think about it.... I know from personal experiance the only thing that I want to attack, when I'm stoned, Is a large pepperoni pizza. And driving 15mph seems like your doing 60mph. So all in all I think It would be a good thing :}

drugs are bad m'kay

Hi there little boys and girls (FUCK YOU!)
Today we're gonna to learn how to poison squirrels
But first, I'd like you to meet my friend Bob (Huh?)
Say hi Bob! ("Hi Bob") Bob's 30 and still lives with his mom
and he don't got a job, cause Bob sits at home and smokes pot
but his twelve-year old brother looks up to him an awful lot
And Bob likes to hang out at the local waffle spot
and wait in the parkin lot for waitresses off the clock
when it's late and the lot gets dark and fake like he walks his dog
Drag 'em in the woods and go straight to the chopping blocks (AHH!)
And even if they escaped and they got the cops
the ladies would all be so afraid, they would drop the charge
'til one night Mrs. Stacey went off the job
when she felt someone grab her whole face and said not to talk
But Stacey knew it was Bob and said knock it off
But Bob wouldn't knock it off cause he's crazy and off his rocker
Crazier than Slim Shady is off the vodka
You couldn't even take him to Dre's to get Bob a "Dr."(gasps)
He grabbed Stace' by the legs as chopped it off her
and dropped her off in the lake for the cops to find her
But ever since the day Stacey went off to wander
they never found her, and Bob still hangs at the waffle diner
And that's the story of Bob and his marijuana,
and what it might do to you
So see if the squirrels want any - it's bad for you

See children, drugs are bahhhd (c'mon)
and if you don't believe me, ask ya dahhhd (ask him man)
and if you don't believe him, ask ya mom (that's right)
She'll tell you how she does 'em all the time (she will)
So kids say no to drugs (that's right)
So you don't act like everyone else does (uh-huh)
Then there's really nothin else to say (sing along)
Drugs are just bad, mmm'kay?

My peinis is the size of a peanut, have you seen it?
fuck NO you haven't seen it, it's the size of a peanut (Huh?)
Speakin of peanuts, you know what else is bad for squirrels?
Ecstasy is the worst drug in the world
If someone ever offers it to you, don't do it
Kids two hits'll probably drain all your spinal fluid
and spinal fluid is final, you won't get it back
So don't get attached, it'll attack every bone in your back
Meet Zach, twenty-one years old
After hangin out with some friends at a frat party, he gets bold
and decides to try five, when he's bribed by five guys
and peer pressure will win every time you try to fight it
Suddenly, he starts to convulse and his pulse goes into hyperdrive
and his eyes roll back in his skull {*blblblblblb*}
His back starts tah - look like the McDonald's Arches
He's on Donald's carpet, layin horizontal barfin {*BLEH*}
And everyone in the apartment starts laughin at him
"Hey Adam, Zach is a jackass, look at him!"
cause they took it too, so they think it's funny
So they're laughing at basically nothing except maybe wasting his money
Meanwhile, Zach's in a coma, the action is over
and his back and his shoulders hunched up like he's practicin yoga
And that's the story of Zach, the ecstasy maniac
So don't even feed that to squirrels class, cause it's bad for you

See children, drugs are bahhhd (that's right)
and if you don't believe me, ask ya dahhhd (that's right)
and if you don't believe him, ask ya mom (you can)
She'll tell you how she does 'em all the time (she will)
So kids say no to drugs (smoke crack)
So you don't act like everyone else does (that's right)
And there's really nothin else to say (but umm)
Drugs are just bad, mmm'kay?

And last but not least, one of the most humungous
problems among young people today, is fungus
It grows from cow manure, they pick it out, wipe it off,
bag it up, and you put it right in your mouth and chew it
Yum yum! Then you start to see some dumb stuff
And everything slows down when you eat some of 'em..
And sometimes you see things that aren't there (Like what?)
Like fat woman in G-strings with orange hair
(Mr. Shady what's a G-string?) It's yarn Claire
Women stick 'em up their behinds, go out and wear 'em (Huh?)
And if you swallow too much of the magic mushrooms
Whoops, did I say magic mushrooms? I meant fungus
Ya tongue gets, all swoll up like a cow's tongue (How come?)
cause it comes from a cow's dung (Gross!!)
See drugs are bad, it's a common fact
But your mom and dad, know that's all that I'm good at (Oh!)
But don't be me, cause if you grow up and you go and O.D.
They're gonna come for me and I'ma have to grow a goatee
and get a disguise and hide, cause it'll be my fault
So don't do drugs, and do exactly as I do so don't,do drug
cause they are bad for you

See children, drugs are bahhhd (uh-huh)
and if you don't believe me, ask ya dahhhd (put that down)
and if you don't believe him, ask ya mom (you can ask)
She'll tell you how she does 'em all the time (and she will)
So kids say no to drugs (say no)
So you don't act like everyone else does (like I do)
And there's really nothin else to say (that's right)
Drugs are just bad, mmm'kay?

Come on children, clap along (SHUT UP!)
Sing along children
Drugs are just bad, drugs are just bad (South Park is gonna sue me!)
So don't do drugs children
so there'll be more for me
(Mushrooms killed Kenny! *fart*
(So, fucked up, right now.)

"How can anyone argue

"How can anyone argue against letting sick people use pot. I need someone to explain why this is an issue. If you have cancer or something, pot will bring your appetite back, get rid of nausea of chemo,,,,...."

The argument aganist this is that it will be abused and weed will become avaliable to anyone who claims to have a head ache. Which is a valid argument given how easy it is to get a perscription for anything.

I don't agree with this and believe that weed should be legal, it can and has destroyed lives like alchol, but the misuse of few should not prevent its use for responsible ppl. Just like the use of guns by criminals should not prevent the use of guns by responsible law-abiding citizens.

Having toked a few times in my life, and speaking as someone who nurses a few drinks every night, I can speak with conviction that pot is largely harmless. When I was high from Mary Jane, I never felt the need to drive anywhere or do anything except laugh at the fish in my fish tank, eat a Twinkie, then take a nap.

Marijuana can be grown just about anywhere, and if the government ever wised up and allowed a commercial grade of it to be grown and taxed the hell out of it, I'd think that this record national deficit would be obliterated. Plus, think of what England did a few years ago. They softened the penalties for possession and use, and actually saw the crime rate associated with marijuana drop. It's the same mentality that drinking underage has: it's only "cool" if it's outlawed. After you reach the age of 21, it's not really all that exciting anymore.

Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may Posterity forget that ye were our countrymen! - Samuel Adams, Founding Father, patriot, and brewer.

only reason its illegal is because it would be almost impossible to tax and not have black market sales.

Really

It was outlawed because back in the day Mexicans were making money off it. A politician saw this and figured if we outlawed it it would dry up the mexican lively hood and he would go back to mexico. Also the tree industry did not like the competion from the hemp industry.

look here, i have smoked weed since i was 17. i am now 26 and a trucker and had to quit cause of the drug test not to mention like alcohol it alters ur perception. i had a somewhat a hard time getting used to the fact that i cant smoke, though it doesnt stop me from smoking. But just like any drug, including cigarettes and alcohol, it is hard for some pple to quit. But i do agree that alcohol is far worse the weed. u would have to smoke a LOT of weed to feel nonfunctional and be a hazard on the road or at work. If u look at construction workers, roofers and even the pple that put together cars they all smoke weed or even drink while on the job. Some pple get used to being high or drunk while working. I would think this country would be more relaxed and laid back if it was legal. And for those that still live with mommy and daddy that smoke all day and dont have a job, they r just lazy fucks and dont want to work. I bet if u go to any work place u will find at least 40% that smoke weed.

U can have my gun when I'm dead and cold!!
