"...(CNSNews.com) – According to its latest annual report, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) received $487.4 million in tax dollars over a twelve-month period and performed 329,455 abortions.

In addition, the number of adoption referrals made by the organization continued to decline.

The latest annual report covers the period from July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010, the PPFA’s fiscal year. The report states that the organization received “government health services grants and reimbursements” totaling $487.4 million..."

but one that enrages me. The fact that so many Americans have convinced themselves that, not only is it not murder, that it is a right! And, as is their usual MO, the left uses the extreme (and rare) exceptions as their justification. Every time I get into a argument about this, they always pull the cards "mother's life in jeopardy", "incest", "rape", etc. I found a site that had the stats on it. Only .03% of abortions were for any reason other than unwanted/unexpected/inconvenient.

So I say, OK, let's change the law to allow them for those extreme cases, but not for "after the fact" birth control.

Whew, my blood pressure's up now.

in the case of the choice between saving the mommy or the baby, I'd stock up on diapers and formula.
In the case of rape or incest, the baby is still a living human being and has rights given by God.
I just held a 2 month old last night at a friend's house thinking I'd sure love to have one of these at my house.

Shit! I have to go find something to do to get this off my mind.

I agree with you completely, and this is what I tell the pinkos too. As a matter of fact, my wife still won't let me forget when she asked about if I would choose her or the baby's life. If she didn't want to know...

Yeah, myself personally, I cannot find a good excuse for it. But I would be willing to let the .03% go to save the 99.97%

I respect the opinions of about 99.7985743% of the members on here, but if I had to chose between my late wife and our unborn child, I would chose my wife. I know, because I had to make that choice. I don't agree with abortion being used as after the fact birth control, but when faced with the decision to risk my wife with no guaranty the the child would live either, I had a surprisingly easy time making the decision. You can think what you will, but you might change your mind when you have to make that decision for real..... And I hope you never do.

went through what I'm sure was a very painful time.
Abortion has become an industry in the U.S., for me the
subject is gut-wrenching and should never have been
taken before the federal court system.

I am also sorry you had to make so difficult a choice. The most preferred would obviously to not be put in the position to have to choose. But just to clarify my choice, my wife gave me a hypothetical about straight up one or the other. More along the lines of "if the two of were drowning and you could only save one...". But that is the one time I do think it's the woman's choice. If it's her or the baby. She could ask my opinion, but ultimately it would be her decision.

But if I were a woman and in the situation were I had to choose to die and let my baby live or live and let my baby die, I would choose the baby. Mainly because I've lived a good life. I've done just about all I think I can do. And I feel I'm good with God. But that's just me.

Ronin let me add my condolences.. you obviously made the right decision.. I also carry guilt about this.. mid eighties and a three week fling with a "problem" she told me it was mine, and it probably was.. i told her i would "assume" the guilt of this before God.. I meant it then.. mean it now. pray and believe i've been forgiven.. i think about that unborn every day..

We can justify our actions.. and i sure try to.. but it was and is wrong..

Never talked about this before, but thought it might help Lou and perhaps others..

a man has to hold his word, hold his beliefs, and hold a good sight picture.
