I just saw this not to long ago. This is pretty sweet. Metal storm is a 36 barreled stacked projectile machine gun boasting the highest rate of fire in the world. This weapons system has a firing rate capability of slightly greater than 1 MILLION rounds per minute. However the recoil is so great that it cannot be practically mounted on any kind of vehicle. I didn't find a really good website with lots of info on it, but you can search Metal Storm on google and find out more about it. 1 mill rnds a minute thats crazy. where is it invented?
Hunter59
It is either Austria or Australia, but I'm not sure which one. I found a video of it when I googled it...it was pretty cool!
Snake
I will watch it later.what cal is it
Hunter59
It fires grenades and other exploding rounds, but I don't think it fires bullets, but I'm not positive about that.
Snake
IT SHOOTS 1 MILLION GRENADES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hunter59
I am pretty sure that is what I read. U might want to check and see for yourself though?

Hunter59
That was the rifle made by the same company. The metal storm I am talking about is a 36 barrelled grenade launcher. It looks like those rocket launchers the army uses that are mounted on the back of trucks.
Snake
nothing on it post a link if you find anything.

that thing is sick. I think I saw it on future weapons or weaponology. No one even has to man them. We can post them up all over in the desert, and when someone trips the sensors, they start blasting. Think how it would feel to have to fight an un-maned weapon.
Hunter59
That is where I saw it on futureweapons.
THAT THING IS SWEET!!!
Snake
But that thing is ridicolus why would any contry need that. getting 1 million grenades up your ass in one minute is brutal. again no offense.
Hunter59
that is true, but it sure is a good defense!
Snake
Hell of a defense yes but Pain in the ass yes for sure. why did they make that thing for and what purpose does it hold?
Hunter59
Look at the 3rd paragraph on this page:

Snake
I take back what i said earlier that thing is freakin sweet. id like to see anit gun people mess with us if we had one or two of them!!
Snake
I watched that METAL STORM video that thin is amazing . do you think that they will be used in actual combat?
Hunter59
Eventually yes, I think so.
Snake
motion sensitive
Hunter59
U can set them up to where when it senses the enemy in motion, it opens fire. The scene afterwards would not be pretty.
Snake
that would suck. Metal Storm is the future in ass kickin'
Hunter59
I posted a link on the deer rifles forum. I got to go for now but I will be back on in a little while.
heavy
Hunter59
Thats where I'm from.
Hunter59
I just found this out...this sucks!
Metal Storm DOES NOT actually fire 1million rounds per minute. This because the gun cannot hold 1million rounds in 1 load and no mechanism has been created to load it automatically. But if it was able to be loaded automatically it could fire 1million rounds per minute. So 1million rounds per minute is only its firing rate CAPABILITY...Dang it!!:(
Snake
link dosen work
Hunter59
I copied the wrong thing. But I got on that website again, and decided I didn't like it so I just erased it.
Snake
Video you posted Then it says somthing about 1 million rnds a minute
Gameboy
It can but it is a estimation. as it fires 180 rounds in one load and 180 in a 1/2 sec you can get up to 1000000 a min. It may never fire that much but it may.
Snake
cool
