Hello guys,
I just bought another Mosin that has been reworked a bit and I was wondering if you had an idea of it's value?
It has the original wood stock and the long wood forearm with cleaning rod underneath.Someone has put in a bent bolt assembly to allow for the weaver style scope rail on top of the receiver. I am pretty sure it is not the original sniper version because it looks brand new.and has an allen set screw holding the bent bolt on.Blueing is in real good condition and wood is pretty good also. The numbers on it are as follows:
on receiver:1945 i belive could be 1943 not clear 292 under that with a triangle under this.
On the bolt:2924
on the bottom of clip:2924EE1524
Any help would be appreciated I am not real good on military guns,Although I am pretty sure I got it worth the money considering I only gave $55 dollars for it.
Gun shoots real well too
Thanks

Usually the M91 Long rifle can range from $89-400, the high end being an original sniper, but there is no reason to spend so much on a rifle because the original sniper's scope was horrible. The M44 Carbine is just under the M91 at around $75 dollars. I realism you cannot get a lot for that rifle, but they are built tough and will last forever. Get an ATI stock upgrade and watch your relic turn into a modern day sniper rifle.

Pretty good price.

The weaver rail mount and bent bolt set with allen screw runs for around 25.00.

Well I thought it was an m44,it looks just like my other one and it is a 44.
However it has M38 engraved on the end of the barrel, I believe it is a 38 it could be a 33 engraving is not real clear.

M38

is exactly like the M44 without the bayonete. I have never heard of a M33. I would say its a M38 unless it has a bayonete, then its an M44

nope. they're acutally really good shooters. they're so cheap because there are so many available. I believe that there are more 91/30's than AK47's worldwide. I would suggest buying one while they're still cheap. they're accurate, relaible, and surplus ammo is really cheap. even new production non-corrosive ammo from compaines like sliver bear and brown bear isn't to expensive
