Ok, I'm looking at getting the ultimate toy for my personal collection. What I mean by toy is a totally non-needed,VERY im-practical, but compleatly cool and fun to shoot gun.Come on, lets be honest, I'm not the only person on here with more guns then they really need.LOL! I'm thinking a Rifle that fires the .50BMG. I love the Barrett's, but they are very expensive for the semi-auto rifles. What are your opinions. Price, accuracy, reliability and felt recoil are the comparison factors. Thanks!

the .50 is awesome. I would love to have one.

Something a little small that I love to shoot is the AR15. I would def. go with the Barrett if that was an option.

Let me rephrase this

I'm going to get a 50 BMG rifle, my question is which and why? I've seen several makers out there, but only have hands on with Barrett's.

Armalite is good

but I have heard their AR50s have had headspacing problems. Look at BOHICA arms (763) 416-2151 or on the web, dunno the website. They are a maker of the .50 BMG uppers for the AR lowers. I need to do some research, but a 1700 dollar single shot upper seems like relatively cheap .50 fun.
