Muzzle Loaders

Who makes the best muzzle loader, ease of loading, ease of cleaning, price, all things considered?

any break action

muzzleloader is going to be easy to clean and load,i have a CVA muzzleloader that i have to take completely apart when i clean it,can't even swab the bore.It is a top loader,CVA makes break action now and they cost a whopping 119.00,hex barrel, good looking.I am buying one before muzzleloader season here.My current CVA took about 200 rounds before it started getting accurate, now it shoots pretty good groups around 4 inchs @ 100 yds.

I know Thompson Contenders have a good reputation,i have only shot one once,it went bang.

good luck in your search.

i tried being reasonable,i didn't like it, NRA LIFE MEMBER,USMC VETERAN

Muzzle loaders

Looked at both, they seem to be similar, I guess cost and availability will make the final decision.

Charles, do you have a vintage one or a modern version like Thompson makes?
