My new wife wants me to buy a gun...
This shouldn't sound like something strange except she has been historically averted to having a gun in the house with a very curious 10 year old boy. Resently, she has been paying attention to the news, both liberal mainstream media and Fox News. Not to mention, she has been reading Glen Beck's new book and listening to Serius Patriot radio with me. She is starting to realize that this world is going to Hell in a handbasket and wants me to buy a gun before we can no longer get them. This has been the only reason that I have not brought my arsenal into the house was her not feeling comfortable with guns around little boys. I asked her what she wanted and she told me "Whatever you are comfortable with. It is your gun. Get what you want." WOOOOoooo-HOOOOOoooooo!!!!!! The only stipulation that she has is that she wants it to be locked up so the boy-child cannot get to it, but we can, if the shit hits the fan. I can lock the gun safe to keep him out of the rifles and shotguns, but I need something to lock away the pistol so as to be able to get at it quickly. Which company makes a solid lock box with a keypad combo lock? Trigger locks that require keys take way too much time and you have to keep the key close at hand. In the case of needing to defend the home, keys are the last thing I want to be fumbling with. I need something that I can punch in a code, pull out the weapon and take out the trash. Any ideas? Go ahead punk, Make My Day! |

just as soon as I get the new "toy". She seems quite interested in taking out some frustrations on a paper bad guy. I am thinking about getting a .22 for the boy-child to plink with. He has done well with the BB gun and is ready to try out the real thing. Teach em young, teach em often, teach em right.
You are right, she is a keeper.
She is not a deaf, mute who is blind, rich and owns a liquor store, but she is the next best thing. She loves football, guns and she puts up with me...priceless.

That thing is awsome. I love the fact that it stores 30 different fingerprints. No fumblng in the dark for buttons or keys. Does it make a noise when it is opened? Beep or latch pop? I am quite interested in this one.

Look into the GunVault brand Minivault Deluxe or Multivault Deluxe. They are the pistol boxes with the fingertip key pads and the deluxe models have motion sensor, interior light, low battery alarm, and AC power cords. There are millions of possible combinations and it automatically locks after a few unsuccessful attempts, requiring the manual key to reset. Unlike a normal key pad, they have finger grooves so you can do the combo in the dark. The minivault goes for about 130 bucks and the multi vault goes for about 170. They have a biometric version which only opens for authorized fingerprints, but that's 320 bucks.

Tell him what he's won Johnny!
That full sized gun safe with the fingerprint recognition pad is the bomb!! I could put my whole collection of firearms in there. I just wonder if that thing is Obama-proof? LOL
