My Possibilities
I'm 49 and as I stated in my introduction some months back, I've developed an interest in guns. I can thank my buddy who was a Sheriff's Officer for that. Anyway, in 1984, when I was 24 yrs. old, I got a simple assault charge. I was required to pay a $350 fine. About 9 years ago, I was facing something else, similar, but it was dismissed. I'm a 5th degree master in Karate and teach defensive tactics to Law Enforcement personnel so they seem to make more of things than they really are. My question is, will this bar me from getting a permit to purchase a handgun? I live in New Jersey and I really want to go to Frontsight in Las Vegas to learn how to use it properly and maintain it. I don't want to waste money going to Las Vegas if my dear state won't allow me to get the permit. Anyone know my possibilities in this state? Thank you in advance to everyone who can help. |

have to petition the court to have your assault charge expunged from your record,a few minutes on the phone with a lawyer might be beneficial.
