If I'm off base, I am sorry, but all the "assault" and "tactical" stuff is getting to me.
It's a freaking flashlight for crying out loud! Does Ray-O-Vac know you are using it to kill zombies?
If I put on my camo insulated coveralls it really doesn't make me any more dangerous or amplify my abilities, but just because I got pockets all over now I'm tactical cuz I can hide or carry something.
Eureka! I'll put my assault Marlboro's in my tactical vest pocket and they can kill me even quicker!

OK, I think the oxygen is back to my brain now.
Rant over.

"Tactical" is a word thrown around way too much. The example I've used in the past is this;

If I use a Marlin 336 .30-30 levergun or NEF single-shot 12 gauge to clear my house, pieing corners, taking up positions of dominance in the rooms, using proper cover and concealment when maneuvering on a threat in my yard, does that now mean I'm using an "assault rifle" or "tactical shotgun"? Likewise, if I'm punching paper with my AR, standing in the open, using sloppy techniques, is it still a tactical rifle? I doubt it.

I had a platoon sergeant who talked about making a tactical coffee mug. He was going to paint it black and glue small sections of picatinny rail on it so he could mount a night vision sight and be able to observe the enemy every time he took a drink. He didn't do it, but I think it might actually sell a few units just for the novelty. I thought about making a tactical spatula by simply making it out of the same "Space-age polymer" that's used on the Glock. Maybe mount a rail on it to add a bayonet (steak knife) and make a tactical thigh holster so the cook doesn't need to set it on a counter and risk picking up bacteria (Counter-germ warfare capable).

Yeah, many lemmings out there just following trends and not thinking about actual practicality.

And also because of Runs' truck. Fuck Runaway's truck.

Fuck my truck

I just bought a fuel line disconnect tool, because apparently a pair of pliers isn't good enough. 14 bucks, so it's not too bad. So in the last few days I've bought and installed a new starter, I ruined my wife's turkey baster draining the fuel filter housing, I drove 40 miles round trip borrowing a scan tool, I bought a multimeter, a fuel line disconnect tool, a gallon of oil, tested every fuse under the steering wheel, and will probably end up buying a new fuel pump.

I hate my truck.

Raper, that's pretty cool. I should get hold of Fitz and see if this is his baby. I really want one.

It's my truck. I can do what I want with it. Like my wife. It's my wife. Ah, Missouri logic. Rule of thumb? We use the rule of upper thigh.
