I did my bit.

I spent some time in the army and got out 2001. Since then I just haven't been the same. I think people need to know all the weapons training and huahhh stuff is great but the reality is we are trained to kill humans! And to do that effeciantly . I know WAR is a necessary evil but I think it should be absolutely necessary!!!

Good job, mds

Congratulations on being trained to kill humans efficiently. I guess. ford, as far as ironing your BDUs, try this; The inside and outside seams along the leg should be lined up. Put the cuff end of the pants on the wide end of the board, but pull the pants only far enough on the board that the cargo pockets can lay flat, don't pull it so far that the crotch is against the edge. That just causes you to iron wrinkles in. Once you have the crease on the legs, slide the top part of the trousers a little way onto the wide end and just flatten out the front pockets. Go to an army surplus store and try to find the green twisted elastic boot blousers. if you find them, let me know and I'll explain how to use them. they look much better than tucking the trousers into your boots. As for the blouse, do one side at a time, laying each side on the board. When you do the pockets, undo the pocket flaps, turn them up, and iron them from the inside. If you iron them when they're closed, you end up with the button rings showing through. I wish I still had an ironing board, but we don't iron ACUs. I'd make a video for you, but I don't have the stuff. Back when we had BDUs, I would iron and my wife would shine the boots.

and if it's the one I'm thinking of, it's not a D&C command.

Cover is a command

given from the position of attention. Although I have heard in Ranger school and RIP that while running, the cadre will call cover and if you fail to touch the shoulder of the guy in front of you, you're considered a fallout. I don't know, though. Never been, I'm not cool or hardcore.

Mike, what was the Navys capt. mast 15 or 14.. One was the xo mast, think the 14, then the capt mast.(if ya really screwed up) would have been the 15..
Run we just put the extra stuff in there for tradition.. Like most Navy stuff. All i know is i got one for stealing a shore patrol truck in Rota Spain in 69.. Not positive but thinking that alcohol might have been involved in the story.. Wish Cutter was here.. thinking he's had a couple to share with us.

Hell, greg that was 30 years ago! I went to mast twice, once was a simple mistake, and the other was a guy I worked with lied and ratted me out. All I remember is they restricted me and took money both times. The first time was in PI, and they restricted me to the base. I thought cool, they have a go-kart track on base!
