Need your prayers here, gang
I got some bad news today. I may have mentioned already about my son having a fractured wrist and then we found he had cysts that needed to be removed. Well, the latest news on his wrist is that the CAT scan detected a tumor. It turns out he didn't have a fracture. It was a tumor that caused a lesion in his wrist bone. They say it's benign and nothing to worry about, but they need to perform surgery to remove the lesion and send it to pathology to ensure it's not malignant. Then they are going to do a bone graft to heal the damage. I meant to bring this up sooner, but that asshat distracted me from posting this. Please keep my son in your prayers. He's a good kid and doesn't deserve for any of this to happen to him. "I don't think Hank done it this way" - Waylon |

May your Son be the recipient of the best surgery and care that medical science can provide, much as I was four months ago. I am asking the Almighty to provide that, much as all my friends did for me. I am certain He will provide.
Saint J.M. Browning
To all. I am truly honored to have friends of your caliber.
Thanks to all of you.
MattyTheJet
No worries, he's in all our thoughts and hearts right now.God bless.

I will say a prayer for your son.

Sorry I have been gone for these last few months. My mother's health took a spiral down and she passed away a few weeks ago. I certainly hope and pray that your son continues to get better and get good news. From recent days gone by it seems to be humbling to have to watch and wait for any kind of information on a loved one. I know after work time is a small commodity, but if you need a beer, keep me mind buddy. It can be hard not having somebody to sound off to.
MattyTheJet
My condolences on your mother's passing.
luckybychoice
condolences on the loss of your mother, truly.
Saint J.M. Browning
I didn't notice that your mother had passed the first time I read this. I'm so sorry. Please accept my condolences. Let me know if you want to meet for a beer and talk.

I know we do not know each other. But when a brother needs a prayer I'll send one skyward. I hope your son receives a speedy and full recovery.
Saint J.M. Browning
Thank you both. It means more than you may know. Ritaville, it will be a while before I'll be able to, but I've been wanting to lately myself. How's it going with you? You gotten the big boy out and hit the mile marker?
Caber
My wife and I are sending our prayers.
Saint J.M. Browning
Sorry I haven't been around in a bit and it looks like I'll be the one legged man in an ass kickin' contest for a while, but got news today from Dr.s: Son's wound from the surgery is healing well and he should be off wound vac in 2 weeks. Wrist surgery is scheduled for Sept. 12 and the Ortho Dr. is very optimistic.
Just wanted to let y'all know. Faith and hope are great things and the power of prayer is a proven fact. Thanks y'all.
tallguy007

Everyday Jim.. sincerly and from the heart.. your right about the power of prayer, and the reality of it being effective.. Not a doubt in my mind, and not a doubt that the good lord has your son and the Folley family in the palm of his hands..
This site thinks the world of you buddy, and all of us care about the son getting well asap..pm me if you need anything, and please let the wife know we really care.

hope things are ok,been busy as hell so havent been around but not much,so hope things are good!
Saint J.M. Browning
Well, he had the wrist surgery this morning and all looks good so far. They are going to do a biopsy of the tumor to determine if it is benign or not. But the kid is up and doing good. Will post more when there is more.
LLE
Will pray hard for another great report from pathology
Vaquero
Thanks for update. Still keeping you and yours in my prayers.

second the update thoughts Jim, what ever we can do.. think you know you have our prayers.. If the boy needs a geezer to write him (they like to laugh at us you know).. serious here bud, we all know what you guys are going thru.. talk to us and let us help a bit.. pm is fine.
Saint J.M. Browning
OK, we got the results from the biopsy and, as they suspected, it is benign. Whew! Huge relief here, but I was confident it was OK. Now he's just got to heal up for the next six weeks for both his surgeries and he *should* be almost back to normal.
Thanks again, all. Your prayers make a difference, and I'm grateful. The wife is going in for her surgery today. I don't know if I mentioned this or not. She's got a torn meniscus (sp?) in her knee and is getting scoped. So, I'm going to have two patients at home for a few weeks. But things are getting better, and we're getting out of the woods.
Thanks again, y'all.
Vaquero
Good news indeed.
daisycutter
about the biopsy, must be tough keeping him from getting out & doing teen kid stuff.
Stella had the knee surgery a few years back, short term a royal pain, it was sooo worth it though.
Good luck being the full time live in nurse :<)
Saint J.M. Browning
Thanks. Yeah, Daisy, it's going to be a pain for a bit. Neither of them are real good patients. But it all good as far as I'm concerned. As long as the worst is over, it's one day at a time now.
greg az
Wonderful news there buddy, were sure glad to hear about the boy Jim.. your one of the people who make this place special, and im guessing you had more support and prayer than you will ever know..
daisycutter
part is past.
We have a bit of a "scary part" here. Stella has been diagnosed with lymphoma. Last week our family Dr said no cancer, today the surgeon said cancer. Kinda on an emotional roller coaster. Not his fault, our Dr was going by blood test results. Not her fault, she had not evidence otherwise.
Anyway, preop appointment tomorrow and surgery Thursday.
Vaquero
I'm hunting words. Kinda like hunting a water hole around here, ain't none.
Sorry to hear it and will be praying for you and yours.
Be strong for Stella. Ya would anyway.
LLE
and your family, and especially for Stella and her surgical team's victory.
samD
As you know I am not the praying kind. But I will keep her in my good thoughts place until she has beaten this.
Be strong.

could you stick around a bit Lew.. just got on and digesting this and pm.. give me a couple if your not to worn out..
greg az
this has to be a record "rewrite" for the the three years i've been here, and known you..
i really don't know what to say, besides the obvious.. everyone of the comments above are on the money.. i've been staring at the screen for like ten min or so..look, i sent you a pm, and if you want to take this to our "back room" i understand..
I'm sorry Lew.. from the core of my heart, please tell Stella you guys have our prayers, and let us know more about the surgery part of this.
greg az
Ok, Vaq, how bout you and Saint work the outer isle, Lucky and LLE will work the center and pass that plate before i start the sermon.. guessing thats going to scare some off so make it quick..
There comes a time when we all need each other.. Not sure if Daisy needs bucks right now, but i know he needs our prayers..
Will make this short and sweet, and as always i pray to start with, that this can reflect the best in all of us, both in thought and if needed in action.
Dear Lord.. We come to you in prayer for our friend Daisy; aka Lew Prince, who has been a part of our group for the last three years.. in that time we've gotten to know him as a ... ok Lord were going to skip that part.. maybe we better skip past that horrible spining pig thing he sent me as well.. while were at it there "might" have been some comments that maybe could go the way of the over oiled 1911, as im "pretty" sure he was kidding about them..
Lord, were sure not kidding about this.. any man who trully loves his wife has the same worst fear.. losing that wife, and the love and support she provides..Lew could use your help, his wife Stella has been diagnosed with cancer and of course their facing fears beyond imagine..
Father..we ask that you please have Stella in the palm of your loving hand, please heal her, and please take away the fear that Lew and Stella are living with.. We ask this with all of our hearts and soul, and we pray that you might touch Lew and give him the strenght he needs at this time..
Blessed Lord please let our friend Lew know he has our friendship, our prayers, and our shoulders in the coming days.. We all know his big heart thats there for others, we pray ours can be there for both of them.. Jesus, In your holy name please hear our prayers..
Vaquero
Amen.
Saint J.M. Browning

OK, so it turns out the wrist thing was no issue at all and he's been over that for a long time now. But the Cyst removal has been a nightmare. He's been on bedrest all this time and the wound wasn't healing. They ended up having to put him on IV anti-biotics and hyper-baric oxygen treatments. We've had 2-3 hospital appointments a day for over a month now. But (and I hope I don't jinx it) last Dr.s appointment they said it looks real good and they could declare it healed by tomorrow or next week. He'd still be on bedrest for a week or two after that to prevent reopening it, but we may be coming out of the woods here.
I missed y'all.

glad to hear it.always feel for younger people afflicted with illnesses like that.At least its not forever though and he will probably not take health for granted.glad to hear things are going well now!hope to see ya around more often.seems like there is always only one of us and all the spammers in spamalot here every night.
Saint J.M. Browning
Thanks, I appreciate it. I'm sitting in the hospital waiting room now, and today was bad news. It looks like the wound opened up a little. It's still good, but another setback.
I missed the spring turkey hunt, but I think that's for the best b/c I have a trail cam pic (during spring season) that has 5 jakes in a pack. I need to upload that one. So, I think the turkey population is really rebounding since the fire a couple years back. This fall ought to be good hunting. But I did get some morels this spring. They was tasty. :)
I've been noticing the spam. Seems there's 20 spams for each post. Hope things get better soon.
