NEW, Class 3 license, ffl license? Worth it?
Im new to this site and i was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction pertaining to the class 3 weapons license or FFL dealer license, i want to know what steps i need to take to get either one, if they are the same thing, i live in AZ, my buddy and i have been discussing manufacturing suppressors and selling them and in order to own one in AZ you dont need a class 3 but as far as i know in order to manufacture and sell you do soo any guidance wouild be great thank you Obama = #1 Firearms Salesman of 2009 |

First let me welcome you to the site. The class 3 license you can not get until you have a FFL license for 3 months. A FFL license is $200 and is good for 3 years. The class 3 license is $500 and is only good for a year. To make surppressors you will need a manufacturer license. Have no idea what they cost. Will have to go to the ATF or if you know a class 3 dealer and ask them.

Years ago when I had a FFL it was $35 class 3 was $600 but not a easy task.Had to have sheriff sign off on it and you payed up front,but no signing no $600 back or so I was told.
Good luck with the biz have you ever made any thing in firearms before? You can get everything you need as of paper work but you start makeing them you need people to buy them and not a lot of every day people do.Good luck thank you for comeing by.TY
