New collectors. What is your next planned purchase?
I myself need a good pump action, a Mossberg 300, with dual pistol grips and a bayonette, but the short version for the house defense. Really its the only thing I need as per the old song: I gotta' shotgun,, a rifle,, and a .45, A country boy will Survive!" But I am always looking for russian arms, Its a simple collection, but I think I can master it Ive seen all but one of the one i really want: Mosin Nagant (Own) Then Maybe onto german arm: Lugar pistol What do ya'll think? |

An M1 Garand 30-06 in new condition
sytasyn_syn
You beat me to it. This is my dream gun. Although I can't decide if I want it in new condition or "war used".
mattitude
I would vote "like new" but used in the War. I wouldn't want a rifle that was brand new and never made it out to war. There is no story attached to the gun which is what half of collecting would mean to me.
OneFellSwoop
a PSS in near-mint. The silencer still works, but I need to find some rounds for it.
What model Mosin Nagant do you have?

What model Mosin Nagant do you have?
I dont know the exact model, its the carbine ..but it was the last one made by russia, even has the star and sickle on it..ill upload a pic
Krazy Cash
But the next on my list is a .45, more specifically a 1911. What make and model, however, is up for grabs.
After that is a 3 or 4" revolver in 357 mag. Possibly a GP100 or a S&W 686 if I have the money.
And then I will take the dive into polymer framed pistols; make, model and caliber unknown.
I currently own a Beretta 92FS, 1943 Mosin Nagant 91/30 in 7.62/54R, and a 1942 Lee Enfield in .303 British.

I am saving up for an AK-47 right now and then after that I will be getting a Mossberg 500 for my home defense. Already got my .45 1911. Once I get all of those I will probably get some Glock or XD. Something for carry. Possibly a revolver. I really enjoy shooting revolvers. I could make up a huge list of guns that I would buy. But realistically those are the ones that are coming up for me soon.

Really thinking about a savage chambered in .308
CWYale
Noob,
Good choice! Savage makes some great rifles, my fav is the 114 though the 110 has alot to recommend it. and they aren't really expensive either.

so I went to a pawn shop to look for a table saw..I just couldnt stay away from the guns..
I did find a WASR AK47 for $300, is that a good deal? and its a pawn shop so I could haggle a little bit..
at the same pawn shop there was a Haskell JS45, (a .45 hand gun) are they any good, it was all metal and only $120..
It they both work, I might get both
BtheKid1881
That is not a bad deal. My brother just purchased an Egyptian made AK for 340. Those are the closest made AK's to the original Russians AKs. WASR's are not bad guns but you could purchase a brand new WASR for around 400 dollars. I would probably go that route but it is completely up to you. I would always consider buying a used AK because they last forever and they are cheap to repair if they ever break down.
runawaygun762
I'm not much on AKs, but I've seen these and thought about them too. I was really thinking about getting a '74 variant, but it's hard to justify buying another rifle that won't fill a specific role. Especially when I already have a wish list that includes 20k in aftermarket parts for my truck and about three grand for a new rifle.
HecklerKoch45
Its an Alright deal but you can find a new WASR AK in the 400-500 range im sure. Up to you.

Shakleford
1911, AK, or AR...........Not sure which one will be next, but plan on getting at least two on the list this year.

my next purchase will be a Mosin M91/30. My friend just bought one at a gun show for 105 with ammo pouches, bayonet and sling, all original.
We haven't shot it yet but it seems to be in perfect working order.
And my friend is a gunsmith so he should know.
Ishootdaily
They just sold these, new surplus with all the trimmings for...wait for it....
$99.00
and I missed it because I was out of town and did not have my computer with me... *sniffle*
sytasyn_syn
Other than the M1 Garand, I would like to get a Dragunov...or a M14...or the .22 chambered AR15 from S&W...or the S&W Bodyguard 38...or a Mosin–Nagant...or, oh hell there are just too many!
KS101010
I think my next add will be the Ruger 556
Snake
Hopefuly an FN FAL if I can find one.
