hey guys and gals. i'm new here, nice site! i have a glock 19, bersa .380, high standard .22 lr, wathrer ppk .380 as well as a north american arms .22 ( from the esate of a deceased leo friend). I am looking for another pistol to shoot, for fun, at the range. I have shot a .357 mag with a hair trigger, as well as many other 9mm's. Oh and a colt AR chambered in 9mm. Also considering getting rid of my bersa, cuz, i don't really need 2 .380's. The walther is just too cool (james bond gun and all), not to mention pretty! any sugestions! thanks in advance. looking forward to your replys! |

Welcome to GunsLot.Com
I would suggest grabbing a Smith&Wesson M&P.45
Reaper308
I am partial to sigs... but H&K's,glocks, XD's, M&P's, CZ's, are all durable automatic handguns. Do you like 1911's? it's always nice to have a good 1911.

my NAR .22 is a derringer ( if ya did't know) pretty cool. my friends father (deseased leo called it his "boot gun").i'm open to all manufacturers so thanks sytasn_syn, i'll look into the s&w. also i'v checked out a coupla other sites and , unless your on glock talk, it seems people bash them a lot!i like mine , so it's nice to be on a site where people just share their opinions rather than bash each other!

jeez........ maybe i shoulda said my name was sxylady. more replys that way!
Reaper308
yeah, probably would. most these horn balls didn't even notice she hasn't been on the site for over a year. hey, throw a dog a bone and he'll go to town.

greasypaws good comment, cuz we are'nt all donald trump, if ya know what i mean.reaper308 1911's are .45 cal right?
Reaper308
yes. most are .45 acp
mrocki1
what about revolvers? any must have's?
Reaper308
depends on what you like. i have a SA ruger vaquero .44 mag that is pretty cool. S&W also make some good revolvers. the next revolver i get will be DA though.
mrocki1
reaper, thanks for your comments.i,m gonna look into the ruger. heard good things about it. i have shot a .357 mag with a hair trigger, what a wild piece. gets your attention, if you know what i mean!i just want to have a little fun at the range, with out too much duplication.thats why i'm thinking obout getting rid of my bersa .380 in favor of my walther .380.stinks though cuz that little bersa is a better CCW weapon than the walther. it's thinner, reliable, easy to handle, accurate as heck.........but, walther is from a leo ( god rest his soul) stainless steel, rosewood grips,( my contribution),and though not as small, all in all a great gun.

taurus makes a good revolver that wont break the bank as far as a used revolver i would look for a ruger single action model is irrelavent but the caliber is i hand load so i would find a .41 magnum i dont care for the nasty crack of a .357 plus the 41 mag has more ft/lbs of energy and it wont kick ya like a 44 mag
craigman9mm
In a single action nothing is better than the ol 45LC for range and recreation. It's mild for the caliber as for blast and felt recoil, but heavy enough to do the nasty jobs for home and or street defense. The ruger bisley and or the vaquero would be the wisest choice for the money. If you want adjustable sights get the blackhawk models. Check out ruger web site, you'll be pleased.
Death from Above
I know someone who has a 38 super and they are real happy with it. I like the 45acp 1911. 38spl, 357,9mm,41mags,and 40 cal.
