New here

Hey all new here. I am looking to purchase a new hand cannon. I am thinking about a 45. Also going to start reloading. I am ordering a Lee Turret press to go with it. The wife gave me permission kinda.

yea that is what I think too and it is easier most of the time to ask for forgiveness than it is for permission

40

Well I will look at a 40 then too if they are easier to get brass and lead for. I have never shot a 40 I have shot many 45 and 9mm though. I have also heard good about the 10mm but I dont think I will wind up with one of those. The little guy will be a year next month on the 2nd. That little dude is my shadow. I love it.

I don't get you at all. Unless you don't work, have no income and no marketable skills, and the wife provides all the money for your household, what's this "permission" shit? Do what you want. If she doesn't like it, she can leave.

You either are not married or have a different married life than I do. I try to keep my wife happy and intern I am happy to. If I wanted to do just what I wanted to do why be married and I promise you without a doubt that if I took that approach on life with no concern for her or my son she would leave and I don't want that just like most married guys don't. After all I married her because I do love her.

I'm married

Been married 44 years now. I don't ask permission for anything, and never have. My wife's happy because she's married to me. We don't argue; never have. She wanted a strong man who would take the lead, and I always have. If you're not that way, then you must live your own life. I don't understand it, and have no respect for it, but if it works for you, what the hell. She's your wife. You have to life with her; I don't.

I like to make sure me and my wife are on the same page. If I want something I can buy it she wont say anything. But that doesn't mean she should not be aware of what I am doing and just being married to someone does not make it a happy marriage I don't believe but hey like you said its your marriage and your life . I don't understand why that would have anything to do with respect for someone though.

Yesterday we went down and i changed out the water heater for the son-n-law.. In the ways that count im an ALPHA male, and when it comes to security, a MAJOR decission, you can bet your life on this .. I WEAR THE PANTS... but, im secure enough, and bright enough to know that on a lot of things my wife is better at a lot of things than i am.. so when it comes to paying the bills, and to be honest just about everything in the world thats day to day running of the household.. Im the one that says ..Honey what do we need, or what do ya want me to do..
When things get nasty, or a salesman gets to pushy, when its time to "MAN UP" and givem the look.. and i can give that look because ive got something behind it.. Then im in charge.. Out side of that.. I just sit around with a smile on my face... Cause im a happy man.. and im guessing Fuzzy is as well...

Guess they had been out for ever, but this was right after the angle eject thing, and the new lever safty thing..anyway they marketed it as a trapper for the first time.. and i loved that gun. I really think its the perfect "one gun".. You know the old, if you could only have one gun trivia thing..

brah hah haa... Actually after getting all excited about the Coyotes, i sorta like hockey, and like the blackhawks.. Like it when they mix it up at least..

Wife has been asking me to watch the Olympics with her.. Last night the men skaters were on.. Im thinking it would be a great parody (or how ever ya wana spell it) of mens skating to have a couple of toothless hockey players immatate the mens skaters.. We kid around about the whole limp wrist thing..but why would any sport incourage its partisipants to wear those gay gay tweety bird gay outfits.. had one guy last night that had more sequins on than should be allowed by law..

Guys i'll see ya all later.. Time to go out and make a run to the store.. Pop myself a beer on the trip back, and look for deer.. Lifes good in the mts of az... See ya all later...

I hope you see this.
If you are going to reload, READ!
Get at least one reloading manual and read. Read it all. Memorize procedures, never memorize loads. Keep this book at your bench and refer to it often.
Some of the best information is not in the "steps to reloading". The forward and articles contained in loading manuals is very informative and you can learn a hell of a lot from someone elses experience.
I like your family attitude, loading can be dangerous.
Proceed with caution.
Welcome to the site.

Hey Vaq

Thank you for the info and the advice I appreciate it. I have doen some reloading but I will definately get a manual. I am gonna reload for sure. My dad always taught me it is far better to learn from the mistakes of others than to try to make them all for yourself. I try to live by that. And yes I am gonna keep coming back here.
