The Utah House of Representatives voted 64-0 today to approve a Senate bill to designate January 24th as John Moses Browning Day in the State of Utah. The only thing remaining is for Gov. Gary Herbert to sign the bill into law. The Utah born Browning is recognized as the most celebrated firearms inventor in the history of the world.

I am glad that they chose to recognize such a great man, I trust that
Gov. Herbert will sign the bill. I imagine that most businesses won't
recognize the holliday but I guess it is good news for the state workers
that get every holiday known to man.

Brother i can't look at that avatar without laughing.. Showed my wife a political post of either Pkatos, or Sams last week.. i leave the room as shes reading it.. when i came back she says (course im thinking shes gona be all into the post) anyway she had obviously looked at the comments (that was a lesson lol) and she says that HampsterW has the best picture of all of you guys.. it is cool..

I'm pretty sure it will be signed with that much support in your legislature..Doesn't look like thier proclaiming it a paid holiday so the only issue is if the news media picks up on how famous uncle John is.. Sure hope so.. i wanted to stop at his home when we drove to Idaho, but our schedule was to tight.. don't know if its much of a museum or not anyway..

a man has to hold his word, hold his beliefs, and hold a good sight picture.
