Hi all,

I just signed up a few minutes ago...and I'll be completely honest...I did so not only because ya'll look like a fun bunch, and peeps I'd be proud to know...but I have an immediate selling question.

I've got a glock 19 set up for comp and need to sell it ....well...like today or tomorrow and need some advice about selling it to a dealer / store / shop etc.

So I will go find a more appropriate place to post that question and hopefully see a few of you over there quite soon...if you will grant me that as such a complete newbie / infant here on your site.

I look forward to getting to know some of you guys as time allows...and yes, I do plan on sticking around for just that reason.

Looks like you're under some time pressure here. My advice would be to poke around the web to see what the going price is for your piece before you try to sell it to a dealer. You simply won't get retail from a dealer because they have to make a profit on the resale, but at least you'll be pretty sure of the value. I'm guessing $500 or so for retail, but since Glock just came out with a new model, it might be a bit less.

Welcome aboard tmag

I would have to agree with dementmeister....er..ah..Schuyler on getting a
feel for what it is worth so as not to get fleeced by a dealer.

Welcome. I would probably go to a couple places if you can afford the time/gas and see who is offering more. seems the be the best way, thats what i do for buying atleast.

Thanks... all 3 of you! VERY much!!! Really appreciate you jumping in so quick.

I have already been looking around on the web like you suggested , my next step will be calling some of the shops before I head in (over 100mi away) to see if ANY of them will show ANY appreciation for the "extras" that actually make it over $700 worth of gun.

I think at this point I'd be shocked (even with the extras) to get $400 for it from any of the shops.

Anyway....I just KNEW you guys would be awesome...can't wait to get to know some of you much better.

Thanks again and make it a great day!

you won't get what

you think it's worth from a gun shop,60% at best, and you would be better off selling on gunbroker or such a site as that. www.gunbroker.com
